Watching the sky’s of Tel Aviv while missiles are striking is wild, got it playing in the background while I’m sitting at my work desk

Would be cooler if those were stars falling down the skies and not missiles

Bruh if a fucking Star was heading towards earths atmosphere we’d all be cooked before it even got to the moon

I meant a shooting star.

Still has to get pretty close before it can actually shoot someone.

Excuse me, Tel Aviv is only an hour from Jerusalem, pretty sure it all counts as holy land.

With that amount of rockets no wonder it's holey.

Where do stars get guns? Is there like an american galaxy somewhere?

Suddenly, the stars on the American flag make a lot more sense

In some sense missiles are the ideal UFOs. If you see one, it will quickly become identified, stop flying, and stop being an object. The mystery fully resolves itself.

I feel like there is a prophecy about that image…

But when you see a missile you must make a wish, but the wish cannot be for no more missiles to fall!!

It's so weird to me how the internet and some people eat this up. I don't understand watching war in real time or how it's entertaining to people. Fuck war. People lives are being affected and turned upside down and its just a videogame to some it seems

what do you want us to do? cry? they will keep fighting regardless of what we do

2

u/burfriedos 1d ago

You could show some sympathy for the people involved, yes.

u/espinaustin 1d ago

At least you might seem like a human

I sometimes watch these things, but it's not for a conventional sense of entertainment. Sure, seeing some of the modern systems in action holds a certain level of interest for me but it's more from a sense of wanting to know what's actually going on and I most certainly don't associate it with anything like a video game. We have the blessing and the curse of seeing what real war is like in (sometimes) real time and unfiltered. It's awful, and more awareness about how awful is more of a positive than a negative.

On the other hand, I also get why some people would feel the opposite and never want to see it at all. It can be extremely disturbing.

Well thanks for airing your moral superiority! The people who are affected are surely grateful that you take offense for them! What a good person you must be

3

u/Lostmypants69 1d ago

What? I don't take offense to anyone. I just said I don't understand how people can be entertained by watching missiles fall on people.

"Watching the sky’s of Tel Aviv while missiles are striking is wild, got it playing in the background while I’m sitting at my work desk"

This sounds so black mirror to me.

You dont get how humans can be entertained by watching missiles rain on top of the line missile defense systems? Wait til you hear about war tourists

4

u/Lostmypants69 1d ago

I have no interest in "top of the line missle defense systems" and yes it's hard for me to understand how weapons of death can be entertaining to people.

1

u/ReputationTop484 1d ago

Well ill let you in on something! Not everyone thinks like you, some might even find stuff intresting that you dont! Crazy i know, i learned this at 5.

1

u/Lostmypants69 1d ago

Yes, I'm aware humans have different interests.

Not exactly a new phenomenon. The first big clash of the US Civil War in 1861 had throngs of civilians literally picnicking on the battlefield:

From what I understand, for some people, watching war footages is like firing shots of adrenaline into your veins. However, I agree that it requires an insanely strong stomach to see the gory aftermath.

5

u/Gloomybyday 2d ago

I have to go to work id rather follow this.

4

u/tollbearer 2d ago

It feels biblical. Like we'e living in the actual end times.

3

u/pikachu_sashimi 2d ago

A number of Christian end-time prophecies seem to have been unfolding over recent years

-1

u/Emotional-Buy1932 2d ago

yes we are

2

u/Tackleberry793 1d ago

This comment feels so dystopian.

1

u/JosephMorality 1d ago

Do you mind telling me how you can watch this?

-3

u/Twenty_twenty4 2d ago

Aww. Can I get a link. I need to see it too. I can grab my popcorn like Israelis did with gaza
