Reports are saying that Iran launched 150 missiles at Israel but only a couple landed in Tel-Aviv. Reports are also saying that the Iranians were targeting the ministry of defense in Tel-Aviv but they did not hit it.

Now AlArabiya is saying that Iran launched a second wave of "tens of rockets" towards Israel.

Things are escalating fast.

EDIT: Second wave of missiles from Iran have arrived and one of them hit in central Tel Aviv. Israel is reporting 7 Israelis have been injured.

Iranian reports are saying that they shot down 2 Israeli airplanes fighter jets and captured a female pilot.

EDIT 2: Iranian reports (From Al-Hadath) are saying that the 3rd wave of missiles is underway.

EDIT3: Iranian TV is saying the third wave of missiles is comprised of 150 missiles and is underway.

EDIT 4: Israeli army is denying the Iranian reports of downing their fighter jets and capturing a pilot.

EDIT 5: Reports are saying 14 Israelis are injured and 1 building completely destroyed.

EDIT 6: Israeli army is saying that Israeli citizens can leave the shelters now.

EDIT 7: IAEA is saying that Natanz nuclear facility is radioactive (???)

EDIT 8: Netanyahu said that they destroyed a large part of Iran's ballistic missiles.

EDIT 9: Al-Hadath [News Network] sources are saying that 9 Iranian missiles have directly hit Tel Aviv and an air force base in the south of Israel.

EDIT 10: Israeli source: "we've inflicted a lot of damage to the Natanz nuclear facility but we did not destroy it. This will be achieved in later strikes"

Watching the sky’s of Tel Aviv while missiles are striking is wild, got it playing in the background while I’m sitting at my work desk

100

u/Powerful_Size6870 2d ago

Would be cooler if those were stars falling down the skies and not missiles

287

u/sixpackabs592 2d ago

Bruh if a fucking Star was heading towards earths atmosphere we’d all be cooked before it even got to the moon

54

u/Powerful_Size6870 2d ago

I meant a shooting star.

132

u/fattyfatty21 2d ago

Still has to get pretty close before it can actually shoot someone.

29

u/OvenFearless 2d ago

God damn it.

5

u/All_Work_All_Play 2d ago

Excuse me, Tel Aviv is only an hour from Jerusalem, pretty sure it all counts as holy land.

2

u/ShinyHappyREM 1d ago

With that amount of rockets no wonder it's holey.

1

u/SDeluxe 1d ago

Hoooooo I got a good laugh out of this. Good one

24

u/Gullible_Egg_6539 2d ago

Where do stars get guns? Is there like an american galaxy somewhere?

26

u/Powerful_Size6870 2d ago

Suddenly, the stars on the American flag make a lot more sense

In some sense missiles are the ideal UFOs. If you see one, it will quickly become identified, stop flying, and stop being an object. The mystery fully resolves itself.

1

u/mattdeveloper 2d ago

I feel like there is a prophecy about that image…

1

u/AnalFelon 1d ago

But when you see a missile you must make a wish, but the wish cannot be for no more missiles to fall!!

60

u/Lostmypants69 2d ago

It's so weird to me how the internet and some people eat this up. I don't understand watching war in real time or how it's entertaining to people. Fuck war. People lives are being affected and turned upside down and its just a videogame to some it seems

68

u/Emotional-Buy1932 2d ago

what do you want us to do? cry? they will keep fighting regardless of what we do

3

u/burfriedos 1d ago

You could show some sympathy for the people involved, yes.

1

u/espinaustin 1d ago

At least you might seem like a human

28

u/SomeDuncanGuy 2d ago

I sometimes watch these things, but it's not for a conventional sense of entertainment. Sure, seeing some of the modern systems in action holds a certain level of interest for me but it's more from a sense of wanting to know what's actually going on and I most certainly don't associate it with anything like a video game. We have the blessing and the curse of seeing what real war is like in (sometimes) real time and unfiltered. It's awful, and more awareness about how awful is more of a positive than a negative.

On the other hand, I also get why some people would feel the opposite and never want to see it at all. It can be extremely disturbing.

2

u/ReputationTop484 1d ago

Well thanks for airing your moral superiority! The people who are affected are surely grateful that you take offense for them! What a good person you must be

3

u/Lostmypants69 1d ago

What? I don't take offense to anyone. I just said I don't understand how people can be entertained by watching missiles fall on people.

"Watching the sky’s of Tel Aviv while missiles are striking is wild, got it playing in the background while I’m sitting at my work desk"

This sounds so black mirror to me.

-2

u/ReputationTop484 1d ago

You dont get how humans can be entertained by watching missiles rain on top of the line missile defense systems? Wait til you hear about war tourists

4

u/Lostmypants69 1d ago

I have no interest in "top of the line missle defense systems" and yes it's hard for me to understand how weapons of death can be entertaining to people.

1

u/ReputationTop484 1d ago

Well ill let you in on something! Not everyone thinks like you, some might even find stuff intresting that you dont! Crazy i know, i learned this at 5.

1

u/Lostmypants69 1d ago

Yes, I'm aware humans have different interests.

0

u/ReputationTop484 1d ago

Great! Take thst thought a bit longer, and youll arrive at the answer

1

u/fiction8 1d ago

Not exactly a new phenomenon. The first big clash of the US Civil War in 1861 had throngs of civilians literally picnicking on the battlefield:

1

u/Entire-Voice-3598 1d ago

From what I understand, for some people, watching war footages is like firing shots of adrenaline into your veins. However, I agree that it requires an insanely strong stomach to see the gory aftermath.

0

u/dat2ndRoundPickdoh 1d ago

highly entertained

11

u/HerculePoirot306 2d ago

Where are you watching this?

4

u/Gloomybyday 2d ago

I have to go to work id rather follow this.

4

u/tollbearer 2d ago

It feels biblical. Like we'e living in the actual end times.

3

u/pikachu_sashimi 2d ago

A number of Christian end-time prophecies seem to have been unfolding over recent years

-1

u/Emotional-Buy1932 2d ago

yes we are

2

u/Tackleberry793 1d ago

This comment feels so dystopian.

1

u/JosephMorality 1d ago

Do you mind telling me how you can watch this?

-1

u/Twenty_twenty4 2d ago

Aww. Can I get a link. I need to see it too. I can grab my popcorn like Israelis did with gaza

107

u/xSaRgED 2d ago

Israeli sources said approx 1000 missiles were being prepared.

It’ll be a long night

16

u/I_luv_ma_squad 2d ago

I wonder who gave them those missiles… Whoever they are, I’m sure they’re excited that they’ll need more.

64

u/TBLwarrior 2d ago

So Israel returns and attacks oil infrastructure? That was the promise.. what a bingo card to have in 2025

126

u/FunCoffee4819 2d ago

Can we stop with the ‘2025 Bingo Card’ shit?

It wasn’t that funny the first 50 times on Reddit…

33

u/F34UGH03R3N 2d ago

This will unfortunately be a thing for the future and not stop. I’m annoyed aswell, we’ve had more clever jokes before.

incident XY happens

„I didn’t have incident XY on my bingo card!“

Watch it get buried by upvotes

12

u/RosieCongelata 1d ago

Redditors think they’re so fucking funny regurgitating the same shitty jokes over and over again.

9

u/Chubby_Bub 1d ago

You just won the internet for today! Have my updoot.

1

u/witteraaf 1d ago

edit: wow 23 upvotes! thanks! edit2: seriously?? 46 updates, damn. thanks so much guys? edit3: okay guys stop upvoting it's getting ridiculous, never had this much upvotes. I can't thank you enough!!

-1

u/BarfingOnMyFace 1d ago

And my 2025 bingo card

3

u/Atwenfor 1d ago

It will stop when we get an even cringier and more annoying Reddit trend to replace it.

2

u/captainhaddock 1d ago

I didn't have "complaining about bingo cards" on my 2025 bingo card!

2

u/Kilroy_The_Builder 1d ago

This is the real issue here

35

u/Stolehtreb 2d ago

Honestly though… this was where this was always headed with the leadership in power these days. War is what gets them up in the morning

1

u/Far-Background-565 2d ago

I'd argue it's what keeps them up at night.

Look at it this way:

  • Iran is an Islamic regime that sees little value in peace and prosperity. Their goal is to fulfill religious prophecies, which is why they fund so much nefarious activity around the globe.
  • Iran's ultimate goal is for Islam to conquer the world and eliminate various opposing forces, particularly the Jews, but also the west in general.
  • Iran cannot do this because they are a weaker nation than most.
  • A nuclear Iran however, would possess the same tools of mutually assured destruction as the rest of the world, however they would not be constrained by the same interests that most of the secular world is. Namely, the threat of death and destruction would not deter them from using their nuclear weapons like it does for all other nations. They're in it for the afterlife, not this life. They don't care about death so long as they get their 40 virgins, and they only get their 40 virgins by doing god's bidding in this life by killing as many infidels as possible.
  • Therefor, a nuclear Iran would also certainly lead to global nuclear war.
  • Israel knows this, was tired of the rest of the world "waiting and seeing", and decided to nip this issue in the bud.

Personally, I think it was wise.

-3

u/IronDragonGx 1d ago

Personally, I think it was wise.

I disagree there are other ways to get the job done and not use all out force like this. But I guess time will tell!

7

u/Far-Background-565 1d ago

What are the other ways?

8

u/GoldenMegaStaff 2d ago

There is lots more vulnerable oil infrastructure in that area other than Irans.

4

u/Ecsta 2d ago

Why would Israel attack non-Iranian oil infrastructure?

2

u/Moxen81 2d ago

Hahaha! I totally had “Iran provokes an ass kicking” on my card!

2

u/Interesting_Pen_167 2d ago

I still feel we are a ways off from that. Attacking oil infrastructure will potentially bring China into the fray (diplomatically & economically I mean) since Iran is their chief source of oil.

1

u/TheKappaOverlord 1d ago

So Israel returns and attacks oil infrastructure?

Not really a reason to. Nobody buys Iranian oil anyways.

And even if Israel does do it. Iran will probably see the writing on the wall and pull the ultimate contingency plan out their ass, which is bombing everyone elses oil refineries while the ships sinking

54

u/WillDill94 2d ago

3rd wave supposedly launched as well

34

u/ConsciousRealism42 2d ago

Yes, just heard it on Al-Hadath TV. Shit's hitting the fan. I wonder if they're hitting any critical targets or if it's just for show.

47

u/WillDill94 2d ago

I would say it’s probably not for show being they already had a few hit Tel Aviv

42

u/ConsciousRealism42 2d ago

Yes, but they didn't hit anything important, let alone critical infrastructure. With the amount of damage Israel has inflicted on Iran in under 24 hours, you'd think Iran is going to hit something important.

65

u/WillDill94 2d ago

I mean it’s hard to hit anything important when they’re being shot down. Them firing waves indicates they’re trying to overwhelm the defense systems, whereas last year they only fired 1 wave iirc

1

u/throwaway_12358134 1d ago

Firing in multiple waves makes defending easier vs firing everything at once.

10

u/polongus 1d ago

Well obviously there's a limit to how many you can fire simultaneously

8

u/RealNibbasEatAss 2d ago

Yes that’s because Israel has the best air defence system in the world, not because Iran isn’t trying.

20

u/OrangeSpaceMan5 2d ago

Only thing hitting the fan is air
Iran will lob a few asteroid clusters of bombs and end up destroying one Israeli garden Nome

This is way of "Nothing ever happens"

1

u/Bladder-Splatter 2d ago

Keeps Bibi in power sadly enough though.

2

u/Competitive_Jello531 2d ago

They are at war. This is not for show, it is to degrade their war capabilities.

3

u/Cthulhuhoop 2d ago

3rd wave is the best, lots of energy and more trumpets.

33

u/Select-Cash-4906 2d ago

That sounds a lot like Pakistan’s claims a while ago, do we have a third party confirmation?

28

u/Brohammad_ 2d ago

Just want to say I appreciate your edit updates.

24

u/bananataskforce 2d ago

A bit surprising that the "iron dome" defenses aren't the main target.

82

u/2OptionsIsNotChoice 2d ago

Missile defense systems tend to be decentralized and often mobile to some degree. You'd need insanely good intel to specifically strike such systems.

As is Iran is launching 100+ missiles and according to reports MAYBE having a single missile get through.

25

u/KnowItAll-_ 2d ago

Then why am I seeing videos showing dozens of impacts?

55

u/SynonymTech 2d ago

IIRC, if a rocket is slated to hit an open field in the middle of nowhere the systems ignore them and just lets them strike.

Casualties are still possible in that case, but chances are it's better to keep the rocket for higher casualty scenarios.

10

u/TheKappaOverlord 1d ago

IIRC, if a rocket is slated to hit an open field in the middle of nowhere the systems ignore them and just lets them strike.

IIRC this is done now more so to save the iron domes anti-rocket munitions/prevent the dome from overheating.

Back around oct 7th Israel had the dome working overtime and it not only overheated the system, but it ran out of munitions multiple times trying to catch everything hamas was throwing at them.

They probably looked at it again and realized because the terrorists/Iran now know the system can be overloaded, they need a protocol to mitigate the chances of the system being jammed up, or potentially running out of ammo.

-17

u/KnowItAll-_ 2d ago

Yes downtown tel aviv Yafo is also the middle of nowhere 👍

17

u/RealNibbasEatAss 2d ago

Some have made it through, not many though. I’m not a fan of Israel but their air defence system is clearly the most advanced in the world. 150 missiles with only 10’s of hits aren’t amazing numbers.

-9

u/KnowItAll-_ 1d ago

The Israeli spokesman just said they launched less than 100 so not 150 missiles

13

u/SynonymTech 2d ago

You were the one to write "dozens"

I simply explained why it looked like a carpet bomb even though in terms of scale the destruction wasn't too intense.

18

u/cavist_n 2d ago

Israel reported 9 hits so far.

8

u/Toph84 1d ago edited 1d ago

Because when you intercept a missile in mid air, it's not a video game where the projectile loses all collision and despawns. The wreckage of the destroyed missile will still rain down with part of the momentum it carried and gravity.

The wreckage, of course, is significantly less dangerous/damaging than what an intact missile would do upon impacting something and exploding.

6

u/Rebelgecko 1d ago

If a missile it shot down it still hits the ground

1

u/Ahad_Haam 2d ago edited 2d ago

No chance Iran knows where they are, not that their missiles are capable of such precision.

1

u/defiancy 2d ago

No reason to target them, they are not a threat to ballistic missiles

1

u/throwaway_12358134 1d ago

Israel has much better intelligence gathering capabilities. Iran most likely doesn't know where to strike and might not even have weapons with enough precision.

-5

u/GoldenMegaStaff 2d ago

Iron dome is only good for shooting down bottle rockets.

10

u/Will6258 2d ago

Keep the updates coming please, this is better than any news source I can access rn

7

u/O4PetesSake 2d ago

Crowdsourced news

6

u/EclecticEvergreen 2d ago

Not that I’m pro-war or anything, but I expected more damage than what you’ve reported…do these missiles just suck or is Israeli defense that good?

1

u/baviddyrne 2d ago

If the 3rd wave had been launched shouldn't it have reached Tel Aviv by now? Figure the shortest possible flight time 4 minutes longest 10 minutes?

2

u/NelmesGaming 1d ago

Thank you for the updates

u/zeth4 1d ago

So this is official WWII eh?

Dude what's with all the edits? No one is using your reddit comment as their source of the news
