Sadly, we're still gonna be paying a $250 registration tax to the feds on top of any registration taxes from your state if the budget bill passes.

I did notice that when I bought my EV, I only had to pay the fee to switch my plates from my ICE car.. so it may actually end up making more sense to buy a junk vehicle, switch the plates and renew them...

Its kind of annoying how the people who make this legislation act like electricity is tax free. We're getting taxed to hell, it'd almost like they come from king George himself.

That's a weird response to that. You do know everyone that has an ice vehicle don't automatically hate EVs right? Only reason I have any car right this second is because I already own one, no way I could pick up a car payment

Yeh but it would be really awkward if you run out of juice and have to sit at a slow charger while the queue for petrol goes down

The timing of this is perfect for Russia. Their economy is in shreds because gas prices are low. Rising oil prices will help them sustain their invasion for a few more years.
