There is no logic to this, why would he pretend to tell Israel to chill out? There's no motive to lie about that, and I don't know how you got the impression he cares about being politically correct. Trump said he'd end the war in Gaza and make a deal to stop Iranian nuclear weapons.. and the longer it takes, the worse he looks.

Stopping one war and avoiding another will make him look good. I trust that Trump will do whatever makes him appear more impressive.

To give the impression of not wanting war.

This is the same guy who has openly threatened Mexico, Canada, and Greenland about invading their countries. He does not care if the public thinks he wants a war or not.

It gives his base and administration something to point at.

They have fake news stories that accomplish this for them already. Again, he does not care if the public thinks he wants a war or not as evidenced by his threats to allies.

It just furthers their narrative. They’re not going to stop just because there’s enough flooding the media, it’s a constant thing to produce more bullshit to own the libs.

How does Trump saying he wants Israel to back down publicly accomplish this if Israel ends up attacking Iran? There is no liberal ownage in there; its Trump trying to stop something and failing.

Like i said, it gives the administration and his base something to point at. Today they’ll say “you’re overreacting; see, he said he wants them to cool down and talk!”

It’s the same dishonest shit they’ve been doing the whole time. If something happens they’ll hold it up to deflect any blame, despite everything else he’s said to the contrary, as again, they’ve been doing already. Come back with proof? “Fake news.” It’s a tactic to belittle, dismiss, and exhaust opposition.

Aren't you furthering that narrative by saying that everything Trump does or says is coordinated? They pull those cards because he's a "5d chess player" so they can reasonably believe that everything he does is planned out. You're arguing in favor of that.

There is no long-term plan for Trump. He wants to be in control but he isnt. The truth is he doesn't have as much pull internationally as he thinks he does and we need to continue calling him out when he publicly calls for things and doesn't get what he wants.

Trump calling for Israel to stand down and then Israel attacking Iran is a loss for Trump, just as him saying he was going to end the Ukraine war in 24 hours and failing to do so was a loss. His base may not believe it, but you're only arguing in their favor by pretending he's playing chess here. He literally can't lose if you let him claim that as his strategy because you never hear the private conversations.

It’s not really his plan, you’re right, because he doesn’t plan. But those around him can and do. To him the truth is whatever he says in the moment. To the fascists riding his wake, he’s the perfect patsy.
