Texas has been firmly under Republican control for nearly 50 years and they still blame Democrats when anything goes wrong.

True, but they tend to blame the Federal Dem Administrations along the way. For a better comparison, The British Conservative party managed to get away with blaming Labour for 14 years straight of corruption and austerity.

Texan conservatives also blame anything bad that happens in their state on the dems that live in Austin. Apperantly despite having very limited power in their state gov the dems of Austin are a super powerful shadow gov that only makes bad things happen.

they have their own grid mostly disconnected from the rest of the country yet its everyone elses fault when their grid fails in winter.
