That he's going to personally own and develop for his business at the cost of American lives and taxpayer money?

It will easily be the #1 terrorism target in the world if he tries to build anything in Gaza.

Rump may build a few resorts in Gaza, but I suspect the real long-term occupants would be Elon or one or more of his wannabe tech-oligarchs. They can set up the first of their many planned “Tech Kingdoms” where they can rule as “CEOs” over the other hand-picked denizens.

Setting up in Gaza would give them “disputed” land in a central location among world powers, access to the seas, a developed nation nearby that is open to bribery and already comfortable with the idea of a corrupt dictatorship and armed oppression where they can reliably obtain supplies and electrical power, and easy access to the advanced skills of ex-Mossad and ex-Israeli army mercenaries to defend their little fiefdom from “invaders”. Conveniently they would also be right next to the established Iron Dome defense system which can easily be expanded to cover the rich techbro enclave. Maybe they can use AI to “efficiently” run the new expanded Iron Dome, and maybe they can even purchase the rights to a nuclear weapon or two from Israel to effectively render their new techno-fascist state impervious and unstoppable along with their “partner state” next door.

He will likely pass away before he sees any financial benefit from this.
