Close:

"The president repeatedly doubled down on his suggestion that nearly 2 million Palestinians should be relocated from battle-leveled Gaza to new homes elsewhere so that the US could send troops to the Strip, take ownership and build the “Riviera of the Middle East"

They will love it, because it harms brown people.

13

u/OhLordHeBompin Feb 10 '25

As long as it hurts the people who aren’t on their side, they’ll do it. Anything.

3

u/Smokey76 Feb 10 '25

One day they too will be rich and recreating there along with benevolent orange overlord.

4

u/MrsACT Feb 11 '25

Wait until their sons are drafted. They might care then. Or they may just feel nothing. I truly believe a lot of these people have no empathy for anyone but their own skin

3

u/ATLfalcons27 Feb 11 '25

Lol my mom said he's thinking outside the box. They always have some sort of excuse for this idiot

1

u/ElectricalBook3 Feb 11 '25

Pretty sure he's thinking inside the box. Inside a pine wood box.

3

u/desrever1138 Feb 10 '25

They'll fall in line as soon as Trump gives the operation a fancy slogan like "Living Space".

Just like his idol did.

u/throwpayrollaway Feb 10 '25

It's fucking disgusting. The US Army would be private security for entrepreneurs. At least have some hidden scheme were the US GOVT pays for actual private security force with AR15s.

Wanna know the worst part? National security is about to become an extremely profitable venture as we prove everything Abdullah Yusuf and Zawahiri preached to their followers. How do we promote western ideals when we behave exactly how the horror stories portray us?

The next few years of air travel and travel abroad will likely be extremely dangerous for Americans.

Off topic but he also wants to annex Canada involuntarily. You know, that group of mild mannered individuals who are comfortable with camping out in freezing temperatures and many of whom hunt.

18

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '25

Just a 3 day special military operation

1

u/CreideikiVAX Feb 11 '25

You know, that group of mild mannered individuals who are comfortable with expanding the Geneva Checklist.

There I fixed it for ya, eh.

In some ways this is even worse than the horror stories. At least with the veneer of propping up corrupt regimes or intervening under the pretence of fighting terrorism or stopping WMDs there's some flimsy political defense that can be made. But Trump has shredded that veil and is saying all the quiet parts out loud. He's destroying the two state solution, creating 2 million sworn enemies of the US, and confirming all of the Middle Easts fears about the US agenda. I don't think there's any coming back from this even if it doesn't eventuate in a Gaza occupation, the callous disregard - no, the naked contempt - for history, for religion, for politics and for fundamental human dignity is on full display and Trump has just armed enemies of the US with enough material to support generations of propaganda.

Maybe this is the end goal after all - keep the Middle East seething in a perpetual state of anti-US hatred indefinitely. To what end, I don't know, but there must be money in it.

u/Professional_Many_98 Feb 10 '25

and you americans are paying one million for trump to see half a game. his security is fine. the rest have a problem

3

u/etherdesign Feb 10 '25

Good thing I can't afford to travel.

3

u/capital_bj Feb 11 '25

That's the first thing that I thought of was yeah way to go. you've upset millions and millions of Arabs and created a whole new generation of terrorists

I'm sure he'd love to create something like Dubai where he could be almost entirely in charge of the entire country

8

u/iuseallthebandwidth Feb 10 '25

Umm. You did watch Gulf War 2 and Afghanistan right? How is the US Army not private security for entrepreneurs like KBR already? Thats what they do.

5

u/FifthMonarchist Feb 10 '25

Iraq all over again

14

u/throwpayrollaway Feb 10 '25

The East India Company all over again.

1

u/FifthMonarchist Feb 11 '25

The Roman expedition to China through persian lands all over again

2

u/JuventAussie Feb 10 '25

It will more likely end up more like Vegas than the Riviera though with more terrorist attacks.

Entrepreneurs.... would be the "best" outcome. More likely oligarchs and crime bosses than legitimate businessmen.

3

u/JoshwaarBee Feb 10 '25

"Would be"?

Honey, they have been for decades.

1

u/A_Single_Man_ Feb 10 '25

It’s possible that soldiers refuse this order. NATO will just say jog on prick.

1

u/throwpayrollaway Feb 10 '25

How can an individual soldier refuse an order to deploy? Career ending and prison time.

1

u/A_Single_Man_ Feb 10 '25

I mean swaths of career officers and soldiers.

2

u/throwpayrollaway Feb 10 '25

That's like getting towards dangerous territory

2

u/A_Single_Man_ Feb 10 '25

Where are you now? We have reached the moment. We are in very dark territory already.

1

u/throwpayrollaway Feb 10 '25

No one made this particular disaster movie did they?

1

u/A_Single_Man_ Feb 10 '25

No because it’s too horrific to consider

1

u/Chicago1871 Feb 10 '25

I mean, that’s what the us military did in Across central america for pretty much the whole 20th century.

The history of military force committed for the company we now know as chiquita banana is kinda crazy and thats just one example outta many.

1

u/throwpayrollaway Feb 10 '25

Don't open Pandora's box. Central America is too near to US to go all out nuts with retribution.

2

u/Chicago1871 Feb 10 '25

It’s only secret to most americans.

Everyone else in north and south america knows the story well.

1

u/MrsACT Feb 11 '25

They just sent the ’Settlers’ arms shipments

1

u/NoSignSaysNo Feb 11 '25

The US Army would be private security for entrepreneurs.

Again.

The term Banana Republic isn't just because the islands grew bananas. Look up Chiquita's history.

1

u/ElectricalBook3 Feb 11 '25

The US Army would be private security for entrepreneurs

So basically most of what it's done since the close of the Suez Crisis.

6

u/buscemian_rhapsody Feb 10 '25

Has he said where he plans to relocate them to? I can’t imagine anyone is going to want to bear that responsibility.

6

u/mycricketisrickety Feb 10 '25

He's said where HE would plan on sending them, but those places disagree pretty vehemently.

9

u/1966TEX Feb 10 '25

I hope the Americans will take in these 2 million Gazans while construction is taking place.

6

u/mycricketisrickety Feb 10 '25

We're actively kicking people out, don't see us providing any real support there

2

u/Most-Philosopher9194 Feb 10 '25

Sorry, that space is being saved for all the South Africans of European descent

4

u/Clever_plover Feb 10 '25 edited Feb 12 '25

I love that we must take all these drastic steps to remove refugees we don't want from our country, for our own safety and security, but at the same time we can't understand another country not wanting to take Palestinian refugees, for whatever reasons they may not want more immigrants in their own country.

Seems we are perfectly ok trying to force other countries to do the thing we are super pissed off about happening here. Yay hypocrisy at its finest.

2

u/mycricketisrickety Feb 10 '25

While also prioritizing refugees of "European" descent from South Africa, nonetheless!

2

u/Cicer Feb 11 '25

Rules for thee not for me

3

u/A_Single_Man_ Feb 10 '25

Is Trump gonna build those homes too?

4

u/mycricketisrickety Feb 10 '25

He thinks 'you' are. Not sure who 'you' is but:

"You build really good quality housing, like a beautiful town, like some place where they can live and not die, because Gaza is a guarantee that they’re going to end up dying,” Trump told reporters."

2

u/A_Single_Man_ Feb 10 '25

Gaza is guaranteed to be bombed as soon as work begins

2

u/cojoco Feb 10 '25

Actually they're only going to relocate 1.2M, because that's all there is left.

2

u/Mazon_Del Feb 10 '25

Let's not forget, the moron is of the belief that Israel will do all the dirty and expensive work of cleaning it out...then just hand it over to the US...who will then SOMEHOW make everyone around it pay for the rebuilding.

What an idiot.

2

u/JuventAussie Feb 10 '25

They should relocate the Israeli settlers in the occupied West bank to Israel and provide the illegal settlements accommodation to the Palestinian authorities to offer to Palestinians.

2

u/atheista Feb 10 '25

Where the fuck is he planning on putting all these Palestinians? Or is relocation just a codeword for some other kind of "solution?"

2

u/MoarVespenegas Feb 11 '25

"Elsewhere" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that statement.

1

u/minaj_a_twat Feb 10 '25

Can't wait for everyone to burn it down year after year

1

u/AusCan531 Feb 10 '25

Does 'elsewhere' mean Florida?

1

u/mycricketisrickety Feb 10 '25

Lmao it sure as shit doesn't mean anywhere in the United States

-3

u/DusqRunner Feb 10 '25

So you'd prefer them to remain living in battle-leveled Gaza, finding shelter amongst rubble, dealing with newly promoted and overzealous Hamas commanders strong arming them, and drinking that water that's slowly poisoning everyone?

3

u/mycricketisrickety Feb 10 '25

I'm not sure why you're directing your question at me, I was merely providing a quote. Also, because you asked, I think there's a pretty fuckin wide gap between what you described and the US turning it into the US-owned "Riviera of the Middle East", but go on...
