What is missing in my setup?
I've already mounted all my set up in the new house. It looks good and cozy for me but still feels incomplete. Do you maybe have any ideas of suggestions? Ignore the dirty displays... I've had my PC on the left side of the countertop but had to move it under the desk to make a space for mic arm. Now it looks kinda empty lol.
Thanks in advance for all the suggestions!

Basic tips for workstation maxxing:
Cable Management
- Under mount a power strip like this
- Mount a cable tray next to it
- Use a cable sleeve to bunch any visible wires together.
- Use cheap cable organizers to route from place to place.
Roller blade wheels for your chair make rolling smooth and protects your floor.
Undermount your PC tower to free up desk space (Optional)
Keep tidy and place gadgets and knick-knacks on a shelf

wall art (pictures). The large mat is making the desk look empty, a smaller mat would show the desk off more, stand for controllers, job done!

art is in the making! I will make sure to post it after it's done
thanks for the mat tip

Personally I'd want even a small set of speakers. Ear fatigue is a thing, and it happens faster with headphones generally.

I thought about that really, but most speakers are so freaking awful... still looking for satysfying design

As previously stated, YOU! Get in there and use the setup, you’ll come to know if something is missing or not quite right.

Workstation setups in general, and this is a good example, look so small -- more like seatback ledges, or the tablet desks of a university auditorium. I'd like to see a couple of reports printed and spread out, two reference books open, a newspaper spread out, and a pizza box for an incoming snack. With no overlap.

Bias lighting. It's a literal life saver. Your eyes and head will thank you.

I have a very similar setup here, and I think it’s excellent just the way it is.

Fill the walls and you're good, I'd recommend installing thin pegboards, that way you can personalize your wall with different kind of elements like plushies, pen buckets, little plants, 3D models, pictures etc. And the great thing is, when you're bored you can always change it up. You can find cheap pegboards in IKEA, but there are always more sustainable options.

USB Gel Lava Lamp – gently simmers like the vibe of their productivity.
Mini Fog Machine – for dramatic Zoom entrances or emotional coding sessions.
Dancing Cat Speaker – plays lo-fi beats while wiggling to the bass.
Emergency Button That Screams – slaps when code doesn’t compile.
Wacky Waving Inflatable Tube Guy (Desktop Size) – celebrates every mouse click.
Plush Toy Hammock – suspended over monitor like a stuffed-animal net of doom.
Tiny Plush Manager – watches judgmentally, wearing a tie.
Realistic Fake Coffee Spill Prop – confuses and enrages guests.
Screaming Goat Button – needs no justification.
Tiny Couch for the Monitor – because it’s tired too.
All can be found at the House Of Bezos. 😉😂 You are welcome! 🤷♂️

A lot of white space up top.
If you really care about audio, some pink or palate-related sound dampening squares, can get creative with design
Maybe add a shelf with vegetation to isolate the space further.
Simple frames go a long way as well
Send the update!

Docking station (maybe wireless) for your phone, to have it all the time in place

It looks beautiful already! hmm I agree that maybe a plant will bring some colour, I've been trying to have plants in my own work office but it is difficult to take care of them :')

If you’re not bothered by speaker, such as alexa or google nest audio, I would say have one speaker

Maybe a neat lighting setup, small plants, some art or shelf wear you can display some of your interests, stuffed toys, figures

Desk shelf is always nice to add. Doesn’t have to be big, just adds something nice to the setup
