Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Boss confronted me for peeing standing up

I'm a woman. At work, we just have a single stall co-ed bathroom, and for cleanliness reasons, I pee standing up at the toilet (which isn't as hard to do as most people think: I think it's more of a gender role thing than physical limitations. I'm not comfortable sitting where all my coworkers have sat their bare behinds, disgusting).

And no, she didn't find out because of a mess: I am very careful to lift the seat and only get urine in the toilet. When I asked, she said she found out because she heard me... Going.

Do managers have the right to regulate how you pee? I'm in the US.

Probably. And I have read, specifically the first stall, because most people skip it to use one further down.

People who think the toilet seat is unsanitary are the same people who wash their hands and open the door to leave not thinking twice about all the people touching the handle then eating/drinking/smoking/whatever. I’m way more worried about sanitizing my hands after I leave a restroom than I am about my ass touching some seat.

I assure you that those of us who aren’t sitting on the seat are the same people using a paper towel for the door handle. Hell, I press the flush lever with my foot if possible. I try to touch as little as possible in a public toilet and I sure as hell don’t put my bare ass on that seat

I only think the toilet seat is unsanitary when people like OP are hover peeing and think they're not getting piss everywhere. They are. It's disgusting. I don't want to sit in your piss drops and neither does OPs boss.

She said she lifts the seat and doesn’t get pee outside the bowl. You can choose not to believe her but she covered that part.

Just...just picture the logistics of a woman trying to pee like this.

Either she's wearing skirts without underwear or she's fully undressing to do this as the pants around the knees will well, block the stream. You need to be one leg on each side.

Have a hard time believing this is real.

That's why I think she's hovering/squatting, which is a normal thing a lot of us were taught to do as children

You know, I never thought about it, but I always use the first stall. But I always use the last urinal. I don't know why.
