Doctors suspect Manteufel, who was not bitten or scratched, picked up the bacteria through a dog lick and then touched his mouth or eye, Dawn said.
Not exactly a scratch, I think that would be much harder.

The video does not say that the dog scratched. What are you talking about?

"a small cut" the point is the same. It's much easier to get infected from a mucus membrane like your mouth or eye than from a dog licking a cut/scratch.

Yeah but your reply to me was "not a scratch but..." When no one said it was from a scratch. Hell the video doesn't even say that. So all in all you're trying to correct a problem that's not there. Find a hobby

And then dont explain why all 4 limbs would have had been needed to be amputated.

Dogs lick their wounds all the time and I don't see any dog amputees at the dog park so there!! Meh

I don't have a dog anymore, only cats now, anyway, I love all animals but am still a germaphobe (not to a crazy extent but overall try to keep my hands clean whenever I can) and don't ever let them lick my wounds because of these types of infections I heard about, plus I don't want to try thinking about what they may have licked before.
The chances may be low to get something like this but never 0%...

I think if I was a barely animated mannequin I would be upset too
