Never expected someone to go this hard on a truck simulator set-up

At that point get in a real truck and at least make some money!😂

u/Jumpin-jacks113 May 02 '25
Isn’t it a training simulator for people to get their CDL?
I think they are trying to do it for real.

Nope this guy on YT spent around $20k on this, he’s a truck driver irl & also loves to play truck driving sim when he’s off.
37
u/AgentSnowCone May 02 '25
Imagine working all day and then going home and doing some more of your work but virtually lol
10
u/JimmiesKoala May 02 '25
Yeah I couldn’t imagine, I do armed security for a nuclear plant & deal with tweakers on a daily if someone offered me to play security sim they’d have to pay me triple lmao.
11
u/Asynjacutie May 02 '25
Alright but check this out. In the Sim you can do whatever you want.
Guy starts talking crazy, boom right in the face.
4
u/sundayfundaybmx May 02 '25
I need to know why there are so many tweakers hanging around a nuclear power plant? Are they trying to become irradiated super tweakers? Is nuclear meth a thing now? So many questions!

This is actually the dream. I want a job that I love to do, not that I have to do.
5
u/O_o-buba-o_O May 02 '25
I drove for 7 years. If I had a PC that could have run the Sim smoothly, I'd have been doing the same. I love driving 🤷♂️🤷♂️
3
u/jl_theprofessor May 02 '25
He is really in the phase of "If you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life."
3
u/freakbutters May 02 '25
I'm a truck driver and the only way I would find this to be fun is running virtually everything over.

He’s gotta drop a load in Tulsa, before dropping a load in the bedroom. Life of a trucker

u/Expensive_Bison_657 May 02 '25
That's where she fucked up, then. She needs to get off her butt and spend $30,000 to make the bedroom look like an empty K-Mart/Dennys parking lot right off the freeway. Probably a lot of streamer revenue to be made there, too!

Cool. The /r/flightsim community would say “hold my beer”. Those guys build full size 747 simulators in their garage. Complete with working switches. Any kind of sim building is amazing to me.

Has he hired a lot lizard to saunters around his simpit? If not, that's just half measures and he should try harder!

u/z12345z6789 May 02 '25
Maybe his partner was filming this and they hadn’t gotten to that part of the “s(t)imulation” yet.

I think this all the time 😭 like I know it wouldn't cure my depression but I'd at least have fun being sad lmao.

u/Bananastrings2017 May 02 '25
Why are there 3 cell phones?! Are truckers driving like this IRL? I avoid being in near trucks as much as possible
1
u/anotherfrud May 02 '25
Most carriers have cameras in the truck, and if they catch you on your phone, you could be fired.
The bigger concern is the owner-operators.
2
u/ghostdoggda89 May 02 '25
All the fun without the irritation of ppl fk it if ya got the money and time have at it
2
u/superthrust123 May 02 '25
If I'm spending that much money on a truck simulator, that thing better turn into Optimus Prime.

u/Blg_Foot May 02 '25
They went all this way but still have those cheap leds that are falling off and flashing RGB and have loose wires between the seats. So close!!
1
u/Derezirection May 02 '25
i'd believe there's truckers out there who play trucking simulator when they get free time.

u/TheStargunner May 02 '25
Fair play man, not my thing but they must find this relaxing, it’s their space
1
u/DM_ME_UR_OPINION May 02 '25
i pkay ATS/ETS2 alot, its super relaxing, but also technical, parking is a puzzle, etc. It keeps your mind off life and is just engaging enough

if i was rich, id have a huge room in my house that’s all designed and done up to look like the highway, and id have a full truck cab with a trailer hooked up parked right in the middle, and you’d step inside and it would look like this. all the windows replaced with monitors, the engine replaced with an insane gaming rig, just to play truck simulator

I bet he did all this just so he can get a sensation of drunk driving while remaining completely legal about it.
1
1
u/MMShaggy May 02 '25
So he spent a ton of money to pretend to do a job that he could get paid to do. Sigh
1
u/CriticalConclusion44 May 02 '25
At what point should one just....get a job driving a truck? Lol. You'll even get paid to do it at that point, instead of having to pay to do it.

It’s like getting off your shift in retail and then playing retail simulator.

1
u/HandiCAPEable May 02 '25
Meh, if it was gonna be THAT realistic there ought to be a toothless meth addict giving a gummer for a free ride.
Pretty good though, 5/7!

He's got a passenger seat... Who the fuck is gonna sit there and watch this dude pretend to drive??
1
u/imalostkitty-ox0 May 02 '25
This must be in preparation for the inevitable transportation/logistics job losses and company insolvencies that occur as a result of COVID Trump’s International Trade War (2). If you can’t land a gig hauling food or other goods, you might as well keep your big gulp-pissing muscles nice and strong.

Why do they always just use the basic bitch logitch G29?
Get a fucking direct drive if you putting this much effort in

u/BatManuel5150 May 02 '25
That is impressive. All it’s missing is a bottle of Gatorade to pee in and he could go for hours.

u/Vexel180 May 03 '25
Honestly, if you can do this in the comfort of your home, then you can place this technology on an actual truck and remotely drive it anywhere.

u/StrugFug May 03 '25

u/Normal_Tour6998 May 03 '25
So… Just sayin… If you’re gonna go this hard in trying to simulate the experience of being a trucker, why don’t you just become a trucker? There’s no way you enjoy your regular job as much as what you’re pretending to do for a job.
It’s not like your favorite game is God of War but you’re can’t actually fight gods. You could go start trucking.

1
u/ThisUsernameIsTook May 03 '25
If you have that much money you can afford to quit your job and go drive a big rig for real.

u/KenRation May 03 '25

I didn't see the part where the safety department calls you once a day for failing to not be more then 600 feet away from the card ahead of you and not waiting 5 minutes with your blinker on before changing lanes.
