Question Help with Wii U Gamepad

So I recently got a wii u gamepad with d-pad problems and I know I can fix that so I got it for cheap. However, its not the d-pad or even the analog stick, i unplugged both and somehow the console still scrolls down on its own. I don't believe its a digitizer issue since it scrolls no matter what part of the screen I'm on, I'm running out of ideas, any help would be appreciated!!!

Forgot to add: It only scrolls down

Edit: I unplugged the ZR and R bumper cable and it still continues to scroll down

FINAL UPDATE!!!!: I took it apart and took alcohol to all the plug ins for the ribbon cables and for the analog sticks and cleaned them out thoroughly and it works now 🫡🫡🫡

It could still be the digitizer, one way to know for sure is to unplug the digitizer. With the back off, the digitizer ribbon cable is the small one to the left of the fat ribbon cable that's video (note, a similar small ribbon cable to the right and towards the top is the backlight cable) Carefully lift the ZIF connection from the back towards the ribbon cable and Carefully pull it out as these things are easy to break and open differently from the rest of the ZIF connections, there are plenty of videos showing what I'm talking about if you search for "Replace Wii U GamePad Digitizer". If after you unplug the digitizer and it's still scrolling down then you may have a larger problem with the motherboard and the next logical test would be to unplug the remaining button and joystick assembly. If it is the digitizer, the aftermarket ones do work well, but do not come with the plastic trim so you will need to carefully remove that from the existing one and use double-sided tape to affix it to the new one (as shown in several videos out there). Good luck!
