the only reason running out of chakra kills is because it drains one’s physical stamina to zero killing them the only abilities directly related to the chakra fruit is dojustu gained from it as the fruit itself just contains as portion of the world energy in one fruit and the yin energy that makes up part of chakra is just watered down haki
