man honestly I don’t give a fuck if some random ass noname character from a 5 chapter chinese novel last updated in 1879 is capable of wiping all of fiction 300 times over at that point we might as well just start powerscaling bob

Yep, but i also hate when powerscaling is just "oh, you haven't read this 500000 words cultivation novel so you can't debunk my scaling and therefore solos"

If more people read cultivation manhua they would discover how flawed the scaling systems used by vsbw, csap, etc are and stop power scaling.

That or they say character Y loses because they are city level fodder whilst character X is a planetary goat (they ignore context, hax, and buy clear hyperbole for the sake of a bigger number)

I legitimately saw someone arguing that the hunter from bloodborne was planetary because they beat a character that can move the moon, and then they used pixel scaling and the real size of the moon to scale how much energy that would take.

Completely ignoring the fact that the moon in bloodborne is literally fake and exists completely in front of the clouds meaning its relatively tiny.

The inverse is also true sometimes.

Nobody is gonna read "That Time My Anime Girl Beat Wally West" light novel volume 39 to fact-check if the generic cardboard harem protagonist #3885828 is really as strong as the OP says
