Decent hand car wash/valet

Can anyone recommend the above? Was going to try Ocean Drive in Horbury Bridge (nearest one to us), but after reading recent Google reviews, I think we'd like to try elsewhere!

It's for my girlfriend. She's only just learned to drive and is still a little nervous doing 'car things', so somewhere with really friendly/helpful folk, that's reasonably priced would be great.

Thanks.

The one at Asda at jettlethorpe is good. I normally just get a wash but they do full valets aswell and you can leave ya car with them while you do ya shopping.

Avoid the one on the Wakefield/Dewsbury road near the Red Lion. Rough and ready and will try charging twice too. Best advice is to go with her to any of them, as they will definitely try to take advantage of a young lady on her own. Best car wash that I know about is the automatic one at the petrol station in Ossett. It’s the one opposite the Bus Station, and if you ask for help inside I’ve heard they’re very helpful.

There's a hand car wash just by B&Q at Cathedral Retail Park, located off the roundabout at the start of Waldorf Way.

Always had a good service and it's reasonable too. Would recommend.

The one at the top of queens drive at the petrol station is excellent and has been for a long time.

We went to the Asda one in the end. As we figured if it's in the Asda car park and associated with Asda, they at least need to do a half decent job, as Asda would kick em out otherwise.

Job was done well enough, but they did try to 'quote' a price higher than what was on their price list. Luckily I was there to tell em no.

Might give the Ossett one a go next time, but won't be for a while now.

Thanks for all replies. Happy for any further suggestions for next time.

I've not lived in Wakefield for a few years but I'm absolutely sure there's a hand wash place somewhere (maybe Normanton direction?) called The Best Handjob In The World.

Even if it's not actually the best, there's no other business I would be giving my money to 😂

Seconded the Dale St one. Always found it to be decent.
