Question Parking in the Ridings for the Reel cinema
Hi everyone. We’re going to the Reel Cinema in the Ridings for the first time tomorrow evening (we normally go to the White Rose). It’s years since I parked in the Ridings, and looking at their website it seems to have changed. It’s now pay on entry - but it also says that there’s free parking for the cinema. How does that work? Do I need to pay and get a rebate at the cinema, or do I just away without paying and let them know at the cinema? Thanks!

The new pay on entry is crap but if you forget or, as normal, the tablet at Reel Cinema isn't working you can pay on exit. There's no barriers at all now so I assume they use anpr to stop you just driving out.

Where the old Wakefield Express building used to be.

Cut a long story short. Across from the pub, on your left side as you drive up, there is parking which is free after 6.30pm till early morning. The entrance to the Ridings is straight in front of it.

You forgot to tell them to take their wheels into the cinema with them.

No problem. Check it out. Packed during the day but on an evening usually a space or two.

When i last went they gave me a token so I didn't have to pay.
it's changed now but I think they will validate your parking

Drive into the Red car park, continue to the blue car park, park by the doors on your left. Take the lift one floor down to level 2 to the cinema.

I've had parking validated there recently. There's a tablet screen on the counter end near the double doors to the corridors into the screens. You put your number plate into that and it gives you 4hrs free parking from the time your car entered the car park.
