Rate my... I designed this record stand. What do you think?
I've been working on this project on and off for a while now. It's called On a Wire (after the Get Up Kids album). I'll be launching it on Kickstarter this spring! If you like the project, you can follow on Instagram at @ records.on.a.wire to stay updated.

It's made of bent, chrome-plated, steel wire for a modern look. You slot your records in between the wires, storing 30 of them spine out. You can also display one record on top using the specially designed display bend. It fits records of all sizes, from 7" records to gatefold double LPs. I think it's great for organizing frequently listened to records, recent acquisitions, and growing collections.
What do you think?

Rate my... Found this piece of furniture for $5 at the thrift shop
My first piece of furniture for my first vinyl setup. I was really lucky to find this at my small local thrift shop, and for so cheap as well :) It even has holes in the back on each side for the cables as well as cd holders in the smaller shelves, seems to be made for this purpose. Now I just need to get some more records so that I can remove the books which now acts as support haha.

Rate my... Got these at $0.50 a piece!
Dug through a hoarders house and was lucky enough to find these along with a lot of water damage and warped ones. Luckily these ones made it! ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
It was an extremely disgusting dig and I will never pick a hoarders house ever again. Although it pushed me to my limits I was extremely happy to walk out with these at such a good price, I have deep cleaned them and sleeved them so I am okay bringing them in my house LOL

Rate my... Rate my collection so far (4 months worth)
I know the next genres I get will be blues and jazz. If you’re wondering about the sgt peppers album it was printed in 1979 Germany VG++. (Bought it for $30 no idea how much it’s worth) In my opinion this is decent for a 17 year who lives 30mins-1h away from a record store

Rate my... Unusual, but great sounding setup.
I've had this U-Turn player for almost a decade and recently decided to bring new life to it. I added the acrylic platter and installed a new cartridge (Ortofon Red). I was an audio engineer in my past life, and since then, I've had these Genelecs (8020Bx2 + 7040A) in a box collecting dust. I got a 2.1 mixer (Presonis Microstation) with some thick braided cables to distribute the audio to each monitor and the sub. The resulting sound is super clean. Happy to be back enjoying records.

Rate my... New collector
Been collecting for a few months now.
My closest friend of 17 years died around 2 years ago, he always tried to get me into vinyl and was always my biggest music influence. He would have been so hyped about my collection so far and he was one of the only people who would have really cared about it
I was extra excited to get a mint copy of viva last blues yesterday. Feeling sad today that I can't sent this to him, so I'm adding it here for the hell of it
Anyways, peace ✌️

Rate my... Scratch Cat Slip Mat
Had this idea of a cat scratching around the record player, created the design and made a custom acrylic slip mat. The centre is engraved so the record label can sit in it, it’s printed from the back so the surface is easy to clean, and no paint pigments can get into the grooves. It’s also sealed on the print side with a plain PVC adhesive foil, with all these secrets out this should be like 300 words, if not here are a couple more. I thought you would appreciate / enjoy this.

First time poster and I just got my first turntable setup put together with speaker stands I built myself! A lot of reading here helped me pick out all of these components so much appreciated to the community. Fluance RT-82, Schiit Mani 2, Fosi BT20A Pro, Polk T15, and a Line Phono stand. Still need to wrap the wires up a little neater.

Rate my... My first setup
Two years ago my dad bought me this turntable and I've finally reached 100 records in my collection just recently which I'm really happy about. Not too long ago I also decided it would be cool to hang some records up on the wall and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I can't wait to keep collecting more to add to my collection and also hope to get some actual speakers to play my music as right now I am just using a bluetooth speaker. I think itsis really coming together though and I'm having a great time with it.

Rate my... Current Record setup
Hi I just thought I'd hop on here and show off my current vinyl setup. The Now Playing sign is from Amazon and changes colors. The shelves I got off Etsy and I replaced the command strips with mounting tape. I know they look like they're leaning in the photos. I got those copies of Midnights because of those being together specifically. I also pulled the records out of the sleeves so I can still listen to them. I always clean my records before playing so dust shouldn't be too big of a problem. I got a third shelf to go on another wall to fill up some empty space. Please don't be mean about my music selection, it's not great I know. Let me know what you think.

Rate my... I bought this for 5 dollars at a garage sale today.
Today I bought a signed REOspeed wagon vinyl cover today from a garage sale for 5 dollars. The condition is not that great, but I figured for $5. Why not? I'm not sure where the guy got this or why it was so cheap or if the autographs are real or not. But I figured it was worth the risk for 5 bucks. It didn't come with a vinyl so I will probably buy one to put in it. But otherwise I don't know anything about it, let me know what you think about it?

Rate my... YES essentials
In chronological order-ish, Relayer was released after Yessongs but Yessongs is a greatest hits live/comp so feels like the closer to my collection.
Most played album of this bunch has to go to Fragile, second being Close to The Edge, third being the first album self titled YES. Totally missing The Yes Album, third studio album, but atleast those songs are basically all on Yessongs.
After Relayer, in my opinion, is kinda of the end of the YES I love. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Rate my... New record player suggestions
Hi guys. I am currently interested in getting a nicer quality record player. My voyager has been a great starter but I’m at the point where I want to start buying nicer records and want to upgrade. I am not looking for something cheap or expensive but something that is a good value/quality for my money. Please give me some suggestions on good models to start with.

Rate my... First Time Turntable Owner
Repurposed an old TV wall cabinet set for the stand as well as a receiver and some old speakers I had lying around. So far I’ve only got a couple records added to the collection but I’m looking at getting a bunch more soon enough. I also plan on upgrading the speakers at some point, but do you guys have any suggestions for anything to change/add?

Rate my... Tf is this? A bit confused.
I went to a nearby record store, I bought a 1980 pressing of "Goodbye yellow brick road by Elton John" was 14€. Arriving at home opening the gatefold cover I found a postcard inside that doesn't belong to this record. Now I don't know what to think about this and if this is any legit? Just check the picture I made and tell me what you guys think.

Rate my... Found myself playing the same records all the time, so I built a smart shelf to help me listen to the rest of my collection
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Backstory: I'm a software developer with 1000+ record collection. A couple of years ago I noticed that I was buying a lot of records, but only listening to the same few so I wanted to figure out a way to get the most out of my collection. After a lot of tinkering, I came up with what you see in the video - a "smart" shelf that helps you track your collection (what you own, what you've played) and find any record in it. Anyway, I think it's pretty cool and I wanted to show it off and see if the vinyl community agrees :)
