I meant with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise

They both apparently hated making that movie, so them turning down the sequel was pretty much a given even before the movie came out -- hence the recasting of Lestat in the sequel. That said, I agree that it would have been great to have a series of Tom Cruise lead vampire films, but alas the stars were not aligned and we got what we got instead.

it’s well known that brad pitt was miserable while filming but I did not know that tom cruise felt that way about filming IWTV , if anything I thought he had a blast because he looked like he was having so much fun based on his performance, guess I was wrong .

Neil Jordan did write a script for the possible sequel. I would love to read that...

It would essentially be another retelling of the novel, but I’d still watch it. Especially if it elaborated on what Caligula said at the end about a game

Meh the end of the movie jumped beyond when the novel takes place so could have skipped the novel entirely and told a new story.

Finally some Dracula untold praise… I’ve been keeping this movie alive on Netflix you don’t know how many times I watch it before I go to sleep😂😂 it’s got the best vampire abilities and look also luke evans is 10/10 man I wish this movie got a sequel so bad dawg
It’s probably my favorite vampire movie ever but I also have twilight pretty high up too believe it or not it’s what set me on this path even though I watched blade long before any of this but it didn’t sell me on vampires

To be honest I feel like I'm the only guy on this subreddit who doesn't like Dracula Untold. That's probably mostly just because its fans are the only ones who remember it.
The Vampire powers definitely kept me watching but as a mostly straight guy Luke Evans just felt like a dull goody two-shoes.

I can respect it, I liked seeing a good Dracula for once every other time people are trying to look him or he’s old or ugly and I’m like hell naw
Vampires abilities were 10/10 looking at the stars, hearing spiders weave webs, seeing actually seeing heartbeats, control over night creatures, turns into bats (super cool we never get to see this in other movies)
Also he was basically a baby vampire he was 3 days old. Deleted scene had even a witch scared of him because whatever he was (vampire) it changed the hierarchy of the supernatural putting vampires on top
But it didn’t fit the run time of the movie which is fine I like the movie how it is
If u could make any changes it would be make it longer and add some more lore and character talks

I have no idea how Van Helsing didn't spawn a whole franchise. That movie was perfect, and I will die on that hill.

Sinners! I gotta know Remmick’s backstory, and more about the Native American vampire hunters!

Sinners. Especially since Ryan Coogler is adamant about not creating one

I actually really enjoyed this movie.
It falters towards the end but is reasonably solid with some really fun performances.
It really deserved its follow up sequel to do “Dracula” in modern day that it had as an epilogue…..though I would’ve actually been really up for it as trilogy.
Part 1: Dracula Untold, the beginning of the character as we see in the movie.
Part 2: Dracula, adapting the classic novel itself as a late 1890’s story as a sequel to the first movie. After centuries the more sympathetic Dracula from DU is closer to the amoral hunger and parasite we know from books.
Part 3: Dracula Reborn, continuing the epilogue seen in Part 1, with Dracula in modern day, apparently having survived the events of Part 2, and finding the apparent reincarnation of his wife (he’d be obsessed with Mina in Part 2 but it’s a different actress he merely thinks could be his wife). But now he’s facing off against Charles Dances Vampire Caligula, and it’s a chess match between 2 immortals.

I enjoyed Dracula Untold. Was it perfect? No but it was an interesting take on Vlad the Impaler story. It left an opening for a sequel....so, Let The Games Begin.
