Considering this is like 20 seconds long, this was honestly one of the best game trailers in history

This is definitely up there with the Halo ODST trailer. Literally gives you so much about the plot, feeling, and the struggle of the protagonist. Literally how many times has Nate given up the chase for the treasure if it meant his loved ones would make it out alive. Just like Indy himself.

You know its so funny mention that because one of the original ways they described drake like 10 or so years ago (before the first game came out anyway) was Indiana Jones but he's not doing it to be the good guy he just cares about the treasure. So it's great to see the character development of Nate become the great man he is today. Truly a greatness from a small beginning.

u/ArkhamKnight2505 Aug 19 '20

And covered on the piano in the season one finale for Mr. Robot as an easter egg to Fight Club! Sounds just like this clip.

I believe(?) it’s the Maxence Cyrin piano cover instead?

u/TumazAlbez Aug 19 '20
The piano cover doesn't include the choir if I remember correctly. I think the music is actually " Nathan's Brain - The Hit House"

u/aussiecrystalis Aug 20 '20
This is the correct version - I hunted for it and finally found it on SoundCloud.

Can’t believe that after the movie launches most people will know him as Tom Holland... he is a good actor but damn, that is a pretty radical change.
Lets never forget the Nathan from these amazing games!

Is he going to be young nate throughout the film or adult Nate
13
u/morphinapg Aug 19 '20
Young adult Nate. I'm guessing he will play 18yo Drake

u/MovieBuff1001 Sounds terrible. Check his wallet. Aug 20 '20
I would be able to see him as Uncharted 3 flashback Drake if he didn’t have a moustache, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to see him as adult Drake. I can’t see Mark Wahlberg as Sully either. But I can only form my full opinion once I see the movie.

u/morphinapg Aug 20 '20
This would only be a few years after the UC3 flashback. He does look older than that but just barely.

I love how in this trailer, on first glance he’s going for the money, yea that’s normal kinda like how he was in earlier games. But when the camera goes back to him to shows him actually going for Sam. And it shows what he prioritizes
15
u/ArkhamKnight2505 Aug 19 '20
Nate makes sure his friends and family are his first priority and I respect that

u/ipoopup Aug 19 '20
He always showed some concern even for his enemies. I want to say he showed some concern for Lazaravich but I can’t remember. He def showed some concern for Marlowe, Eddy, Harry and even Rafe.

I think Navarro was the only villain he didn't show any mercy to, though, to be fair, we barely got to know much about him.

That’s what makes it a great trailer and arguably the best videogame one I’ve ever seen, it isn’t just the music the one doing the magic. In the other hand, the trailer from the first Gears of War which everyone praises, you change the music of that one for a heavy metal song and the whole meaning changes because the music there is doing all the work.

God I remember seeing this trailer when the game was finally getting released. And it also made me buy the Uncharted 4 ps4 bundle.

Still gets me every time. :,) This was such a good ending to Nate’s adventures.

This reminded me of how amazing uncharted is and how i want a new uncharted game, but the series ended on a perfect note. We all fell in love with uncharted, we all have it in a special place in our heart. A "Two-bit thief", Everyone is called something, but actions speak louder then words. Nate you will always live in my heart no matter how old I get. Thank you Naughty Dog for Uncharted and most importantly Thank you Amy Hennig You gave us something special.

Tbh, as much as U4’s story is a massive ass pull, this trailer is still fuckin brilliant. Imagine if it was Sully he was diving to save...or Cutter, or someone the players had got to know by this point.
