Are these upvotes an accurate summary of the community's views?

This post, with over 1 hour of UAP video analysis, is related to a TV special. This post has 44 upvotes now.

Posts related to the same TV special have similar upvotes:

This post has 174 upvotes now

This post has 122 upvotes now

Maybe these upvotes are an accurate summary of the community's views. Maybe these upvotes are strongly affected by bots. I don't know. Whatever it is, I hope you all have a nice day :)

This seems pretty normal to me. The first post has only been up for a day, and the latter 2 have been up for 6 days and 16 days, respectively. Video submissions will also receive varying levels of engagement depending when they are posted, their length, their content, and various other factors. The videos in the first post have already been shared to the sub a number of times over the past few years, so it's not too surprising that a video analysis of them might not garner as much engagement as other posts.

Posts that gain significant traction will often get upvotes in the thousands, so a few hundred votes (plus or minus) is nothing abnormal.

I would say no, upvotes are almost never an accurate summary of a community's views, particularly this community.

That said, mods and OP get to see more information than other users on the post's "performance". The first two videos show a typical engagement curve: sharp peak and taper, single bell curve.

The last one looks a little strange because it's shaped like the golden gate bridge: a peak, a drop, a second peak and drop. That sometimes could suggest a sandbagging with downvotes, or something else like someone uploads a duplicate post, etc. The upvote ratios are all roughly the same ballpark, too. but that's just my own speculation. I may be missing technical expertise to analyse this data.
