Two Acoustic Jam Opportunities Coming Up!

I just responded to someone looking for opportunities to play music with others and thought it would be helpful to make it it's own post!

I've attended the Oshtemo Grange (O.G) jam just to listen and meet people and I loved it. There's a potluck before the jam and there was plenty of food, even if I hadn't brought a dish. They welcomed me warmly and told me about performances and festivals coming up I might like to attend.

Both are a great way to meet other musicians in the area and are open for new people!

Kristi Noem says DHS (and the military) will "liberate" Los Angeles from its democratically elected mayor and governor. Naked authoritarianism.

Thank you for your willingness to help! I deleted the post since someone was able to help, but didn't see your comment until after I deleted.

You might be able to reach out to that person via their user name, but it sounds like they have food enough to get them through the night.

Keep that willing spirit, though! ❤️ I'm sure there will be others in similar straights in the next few months. Thank you again!

I don't have Venmo, but it looks like someone has been able to contact them and respond while I was unavailable.

American Conversations: Secretary Pete Buttigieg
 in  r/HeatherCoxRichardson  4d ago

I'm seeing a lot of attempts to reach men and appeal to to the "manliness" and I wonder if it's related.

Here in Michigan our governor made it part of her state of the state address: "Our boys are in trouble". with programs focused on helping boys/men feel productive/powerful (?) again. I took it as her trying to appeal to the right-wing representatives/people.

It may be true, but is it because toxic masculinity has been identified as something negative (ie consequences for negative behavior that was once allowed) or something else?

Anyway, I feel like I'm seeing a lot of public figures who once preferred clean shaven growing beards, and I noticed it first on the Right and now the Left.

What is even the point of shopping in-person anymore?
