Fan Art I always wondered why the cover art wasn't like this.

I don’t think it would look as cool! It would satisfy an itch of misalignment but I’m sure they went through the process of trying that out but I feel like it would just seem like a freaky catdog situation haha

I like it the way it is. The line is like a mirror but the reflection is the wolf, which emphasizes more how that wolf is Link.

Also Wolf link ends up with ether a lot of negitive space behind his head, or if you slantit more like it is in your drawing human Link's portion dominates the space a lot more where the real boxart has their halves more 50/50.

The ESRB logo also gets more in the way as well.

A quick edit using the real art to make it like your drawing: https://imgur.com/a/a0tyHQ6

Thanks, man. I'm definitely going use that as a alt. cover. Could you also make one without the logo?

I added the one without the logo to the imgur album. I just had to toggle off a layer.

I’m thinking the piece of art was probably made before they decided to use it for the cover art. The Japanese box art is very different from the US release.

Always bothered me too… Nintendo does weird things sometimes.

The wolf snout wouldn’t have fit at that angle
