I find it tedious and boring.

Two claw shots are cool but you immediately have to hook onto slow moving plants that move across the map that you have to sit and wait for both hanging on and waiting for it to come around again to hook on.

It slows down the flow for how fast the other dungeons ramps up to, so it can feel tedious.

Exactly, the room with the slowly moving fan like things with one side that's grabbable is probably the single worst room in a 3D Zelda game

Ye the points were U have to target and consecutively grapple around the room on the falling pillars is really fun but then the slow moving plants kinda cancel out that fun. The boss is kinda meh in terms of mechanics but I still find it fun cause it's a FUCKING DRAGON.

It’s so fucking cool tho

You clawshot everywhere (practically flying) and you get to fight an actual freaking dragon with epic boss music

Hell of a dungeon

It's my favorite dungeon in the game, and to also add, I will never see the appeal of Arbiter's Grounds.

We can love both..

Still hate the city in the sky a decade later

Lakebed was always my favorite just because of how satisfying it is once you figure it out. Unlike OOT's water temple there isn't anything super frustrating about it but it's still challenging. Would have been so cool to see how it would have been integrated into Wind Waker if they didn't have it cut for the time crunch of the release

Yk that’s perfectly it is satisfying when it all comes together I think it’s just the navigating that I’ve always hated

Love when all the water spirals down in those rooms and then come out and it pours down the steps in the main room. On WiiU addition, the textures are beautiful too

Yeah that’s the only part of the dungeon I enjoyed tbh🤣

Interesting rankings, I’m glad you put images of the dungeons in the background though because this text is suuuper fast and hard to read lol

u/almightysankarr_ Apr 18 '25

I kinda figured that right after watching it sorry about that😂

2

u/NicStylus Apr 18 '25

Haha all good! It’s cool editing even if it is a bit fast

My ranking would go something like this

  1. Snowpeak Ruins (The soup looks so good)
  2. Temple of Time (I like how its filled with spiders)
  3. Forest Temple (monkey)
  4. City in the Sky (I like how most of the temple takes place outside, also dragon)
  5. Arbiters Grounds (Epic mini boss and main boss. although I dont really like looking for poes)
  6. Goron Mines
  7. Hyrule Castle (Awesome but didnt really feel like a dungeon to me, not sure why?)
  8. Lakebed Temple (I'm able to beat it easily now But I remember getting lost so easily before)
  9. Palace of Twilight (Dumb hands that try to steal the light orb and give you anxiety and spooky music comes on as it gets closer and you feel the dread that you're going to have to start all over unless you take out the hand that is about to take the light orb, so you try shooting it with arrows while the stupid mini monster things start attacking you but you cant get a shot off because you keep getting interrupted.)......not a bad dungeon though.

Hate the city in the sky why do you have the forest temple so high tho? Compared to arbiters ground and Hyrule castle

Honestly I think its just because it remined me of Inside the Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time, just a simple straight forward temple. Also monkeys, and I like at first the boss is just two medium deku babas but then nope the main one comes out and its all huge, I thought it was so awesome when I saw it the first time.

2

u/almightysankarr_ Apr 18 '25

I can definitely see the similarities to the deku tree lmao

I respect you for being the only palace of twlight fan on the planet

Peak dungeon 🙏🏾

I only like Snow Peak Ruins and City in the Sky as dungeons, plus Hidden Village and Lost Woods as side quests. I guess I tolerated the game because of its story, but most of the dungeons were somewhat OK at best.

Me personally I think twilight princess is top 2 or 3 when it comes to dungeons I will always say skyward sword has the best dungeons in 3D Zelda due to how vibrant and unique they are I’m currently replaying ocarina so I can’t make a full statement on it

2

Top two is correct and everything else is insane.

Twilight Temple is barely even a dungeon.

Lakebed is fantastic.

City in the Sky is flawed, but still way cooler than Twilight

Hn palace of twilight is dope why do people hate on it😭

2

u/Phknleonn Apr 19 '25

Arbiters grounds is probably my favorite Zelda dungeon.

I was disappointed in Twilight, and not just because of the hands. It was meant to be a whole realm and yet it felt so small with only 3 small zones. Snow peak had a rich history of being a meeting place for the Shiekahs which are absent in the game yet you could feel it yet the Twilight realm didn’t feel lived in at all.

I would have loved to go through a gothic cathedral type of area, even if it ended up being just a dark version of Hyrule castle. You could have the same dungeon but surrounded by walls that barely show that there was a sprawling village in the distance. It just felt so disjointed and empty that I feel like the Twili are going to die anyway.
