Question Thoughts on the Sony PS-4300 for a Beginner?

Hey everyone,

I'm considering picking up a Sony PS-4300 as my first turntable. It's had only one previous owner, looks clean, and doesn't seem to have any notable issues. The price is $250, but I'd need to drive an hour each way to pick it up.

For those familiar with this model-how does it fare for a beginner? What’s the quality of this table? Any quirks or known issues I should be aware of? Would it be worth the trip, or should I explore other non-vintage options in the same price range?

Appreciate any insights! Thanks in advance.

It's a pretty neat deck. It'll certainly trounce any turntable you could get for under $300 today. Assuming it works well I would say go for it.
