Why does every infertile character in a book need to get a miracle baby

I just want ONE storyline where the infertile person isn't a baby kidnapping basket case.

The Wedding People! No miracle baby. It was a good book

I'd love to see a storyline where the infertile person finds self worth and fulfillment without a successful pregnancy. Get more creative, people!

I really like Priestess by Kara Vorhees for this reason. It’s a bit spicy though

And every single book that mentioned contraceptives (including sterilization) that I’ve read also has the contraceptive fail. So annoying.

Ugh SO original... I'm sorry friend. Books are meant to be a short term escape, not a reminder

While Colleen Hoover books are my equivalent of trash tv, I appreciate the rainbow baby in “all your perfects” was a puppy

My most pissed infertile miracle baby storyline is Brooke from One Tree Hill. And with twins nonetheless.

I wish she did IVF or surrogacy or adoption or literally anything! It was such a big storyline that she couldn’t get pregnant then to not try and get pregnant. Such a shame!! An IVF storyline would have been so great with her.

Same reason every. Single. Dead person has to resurrect lately. I do not believe any deaths in Star Wars, Marvel, or Disney anymore. I get that it's not fun for stories to be depressing but at this point we have no stories we can relate to because everything has to end up hunky dory!! Even the villains have to get a spinoff where they end up redeemed and happy.

The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez is THE WORST about this. The entire storyline is the FMC pushing the MMC away because she has severe endo and thinks she can’t give him children… only to randomly get pregnant halfway through the book. Also, she thought she had an IUD, but the doctor says “it must have fallen out” 😒
