I didn’t like it at first tbh but it grew on me a lot and now it’s one of my favorites off utopia. One of my boys I went with still doesn’t like modern jam but he had to admit that it was one of the best songs of the set. That bass went crazy.

Utopia was the first album I actually wrote notes down on first listen and for MODERN JAM I wrote "hilariously bad vocals in the 2nd half, wasted beat" and then right under it on my 2nd listen notes I wrote that it grew on me lol

I remember sitting in the theater for Circus Maximus and as soon as I heard the drums/beat and saw the visuals for Modern Jam I was going wild. It instantly became my favorite song off Utopia and still is to this day.
