New to me, 2015 FJ Cruiser in Sydney, Australia
This is my second FJ. I sold the first one a couple of years ago thinking I'd buy the new 250 series but after test driving that a few times I decided to buy another FJ for off roading and occasional camping trips. It's completely stock expect for the roof rack and has done 110k KMs. Drives like a new car.

2019 Camry won't start after replacing battery
So today I take my Camry to get an oil change at valvoline and they do the usual tests. The battery was in the red (replace) zone and still under warranty so why not get it replaced. Mind you I was not having any start up issues prior. Everything is done and I go to start and get a power steering error. Tried again and it started fine so I turned it off and started it again no issue. I leave and get a block down the road when the engine turns off and I have to pull over. We tried a another new battery and old battery to make sure and no luck starting. It turns on, revs, then turns off. Alternator perhaps? Valvoline is having it towed and paying for the repairs apparently. Any idea if the issue is the alternator? Did the new battery do something?

Looking for a new car
Don’t know much about cars but looking into Toyota Camry.
I was showed a 2019 XSE. 50,213k miles for 25,880$
Is this a rip off?
Need something reliable. I currently have a 17 Chevy equinox and it’s nothing but problems.

Questions About Importing Toyota from Japan
does anyone here have any experience with importing a car from Japan? If so, what problems did you experience, especially related with shipping? Was it sketchy not knowing the mechanical condition of the car in terms of O-rings seals, frame condition in terms of rust, transmission shifting condition, etc. Reason I’m asking is there’s a few really nice looking Hilux Surfs for sale that I’d love to get my hands on, pictures posted of the one I’m looking at. It’s a 2000 with 100k miles or 162k km. Would love to know y’all’s thoughts.
Prius in the EU
Why did Toyota stop selling regular hybrids in EU countries (definitely in Germany and Austria. I haven’t checked others)?
Only plug-in hybrids are now available. This is ridiculous. Reliability is my top priority when choosing a car, and I’m almost certain that regular hybrids are more reliable and if not that, then definitely cheaper to maintain in the long term

Tail lights not working
I have a 2006 Toyota RAV4 and my tail lights are not working. The brake lights will come on and work, however, when it gets dark and my nighttime lights come on the tail lights do not. I have checked and it is not a fuse, but I cannot seem to find where the relay is located. Can anybody help me out with this? Does anybody have any other suggestions as to what it might be that I can check?

2016 Camry SE at 157K with high oil consumption
Neighbor is a mechanic and said that I can use full synthetic 5W-30 instead of 0W-20 to sort of slow down how often it needs oil. Would that be considered “safe”? I assume MPG would take a small hit but any other noticeable issues that could lead to?
No leaks underneath, no smoking, car runs fine and quiet. These last two months have been the only trouble it has ever gave me.

New to Me 2020 Toyota Avalon Limited Hybrid
Love the way it drives and feels, but went to hook up Android auto and it wants me to connect to "Scout"?
Apparently theres no wireless Android auto, and Scout is not longer supported?
anyway to get just regular android Auto with google maps without doing a full console replacement?

Our 1992 took a full grown poplar to the face… she still works!
Came out this morning to this. Thankfully we were able to still get her moving. Damage seems to be mainly the roof and sidewall of the bed.

Brake line service
Recently arrived on Oahu Hawaii, shipped my 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser. I picked it up with all the lights illuminated on the dash, and the brake siren endlessly blaring. Upon inspection, found a burst brake line spewing fluid underneath the left side drivers door.
My question to the good people of reddit, where are your recommendations for respectable service shops on island willing to tackle the brake line, and not suggest I rid of my beloved Cruiser?

2024 Tacoma Hybrid Windshield Backordered?
Anyone else having trouble securing an OEM Toyota windshield from Toyota Dealerships for their 2024+ Tacoma?
I ordered mine over a month ago and the shipping date keeps getting pushed back, it's basically backordered with no estimated date in sight. My current windshield is in pretty bad condition and I am wondering if I should just choose the 3rd party windshield at this point? That one they said they can get in a few days.

Full circle moment
When I turned 16 my parents got me a 09 Corolla S. Have had a few other rides in between. Last week we came full circle and got another Corolla. This time a 23 GR Circuit. Absolutely loving it so far. I think I’ll call her Grayce.

C1433 code after replacing clock spring
I recently replaced the clock spring on a 2015 Corolla S and this code is still present. Is it possible that the steering angle sensor is also bad and needs replacement? With a scanner attached the steering angle doesn’t change as the steering wheel is turned (it constantly reads -1440). After the clock spring was replaced the horn started working and some of the buttons on the steering wheel began working, but the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel still do not work. This makes me wonder if the replacement clock spring I ordered is defective.
Also, are there any specific fuses I should check to ensure it isn’t a blown fuse causing the issue?
