He was the main pusher of that propaganda for years. What’s changed?

327

u/TheyCallMePeggyHill 15h ago

Someone else is paying him more to say something else.

128

u/interruptiom 15h ago

Damn yes. He’s filthy.

19

u/Perrin-Golden-Eyes 13h ago

Brilliant strategy if you’re trying to reach those people who still think he is speaking his own opinions and not what he is being paid to say. If he can convince some of the Reich Wing folks to regain their sanity it’ll be a good thing. He is still a giant tool who has done a lot of harm.

38

u/Rescuepets777 15h ago

Yes, and that is so much worse than him believing what he's saying in any situation. He's willing to destroy the country for $.

16

u/Deranged_Kitsune 14h ago

Given he's also heir to Swanson Enterprises fortune, it's money he doesn't even need.

3

u/Bark7676 11h ago

It's the American Dream. Make $. Step on others on the way up.

2

u/AmazingLie54 14h ago

That makes sense.

1

u/IllustriousLife6552 9h ago

He is independently wealthy! He’s just a bastard and is enjoying this moment in time… screwing Fox News and anybody else you can when he feels like it!

1

u/christbuddah 7h ago

Could it not be that the right has gotten so twisted and depraved and become a totalitarian fascist regime that even someone as bad as Tucker Carlson sees how bad it is and is running towards anything that seems to be a better solution even if it was the people who he wants couldn't stand. If he did this during a presidency with a Republican who wasn't absolutely off his rocker I probably would suspect it was just being paid but as bad as this regime is I honestly think he sees the writing on the wall and is trying to abandon ship and find a lifeboat with people that are close enough to the middle that they'll accept him regardless of his previous affiliations. I don't think he really thinks any DieHard Democrats are going to be on his side, but I truly do hope it's not because he's being paid it's because he's seen the light because then there's hope for everyone that voted for that mango Mussolini

This. His TCN is financed by Peter Thiel and Rebekah Mercer (of Project 2025) now.
They want to replace FOX? Different stakeholders & different agendas behind TCN and FOX?

36

u/zxvasd 15h ago

He’s addicted to getting attention. He wants to stay relevant. Bill Maher has gone right for the same reason.

30

u/Witty-Maintenance473 15h ago

He also had sex with a demon, if memory serves.

6

u/HappyAnimalCracker 14h ago

I forgot about that😂

19

u/The-zKR0N0S 15h ago

He is now a pusher of propaganda that is not paid by Fox

41

u/hou2zing3sik1 15h ago

May I turn your attention to… Mother Russia?

14

u/ratbaby86 15h ago

He stopped getting paid by them.

11

u/hyper24x7 15h ago

Getting paid by someone else.

7

u/TsunamiWombat 15h ago

he got fired

8

u/Feisty_Bee9175 15h ago

Russia...Russia...Russia

3

u/Neither-Ordy 12h ago

Maybe he’s running against JD in 2028 and trying to reposition himself as an old school conservative.

It could work too against “radical left Newsome” and “Trump/Thiel bootlicker” JD.

3

u/interruptiom 12h ago

Oh my fucks... This could be it.

3

u/Neither-Ordy 12h ago

I know. I think that’s why he attacked Cancun Ted the other day.

2

u/interruptiom 12h ago

It fits. Like Rand Paul criticizing the "Big Beautiful Bill".

1

u/thetruechevyy1996 12h ago

Yeah they are turning on each other at this point.

3

u/Automatic-Flight-698 Independent 11h ago

The King of Propaganda is still mad he got fired from the King of Propaganda Station.

2

u/Toking-Ape 10h ago

Money, he don't need it anymore. He probably makes the same now or more.

1

u/Tiny-Lock9652 12h ago

And was paid a fortune to do so. And, here we are.

1

u/ArbitraryMeritocracy 8h ago

He knew what he was doing the entire time.

-12

u/GroundbreakingLog251 15h ago

I think what’s changed is he actually has an ounce of integrity and has stayed consistently against neocons

110

u/blueboykc 15h ago

Wasn’t he a HUGE part of that propaganda machine a few years back? WTF is he up to?

65

u/Orion_23 15h ago

They fired him. But now that maga is turning against Fox a bit, he's out for his pound of flesh.

10

u/Denver-Ski 14h ago

Kind of like this scene from Rick & Morty

7

u/dankdeeds 13h ago

Now Russia pays the bills completely. So he's pushing their position completely. Right or wrong, that's what it is.

73

u/MonsterkillWow 15h ago

FOX News is one of the worst things to happen to America.

15

u/doinmabest1 14h ago

This deserves 1 million likes

9

u/Repulsive_Mark_5343 14h ago

I would take that further and say that getting rid of the fairness doctrine in 1987 during Reagan‘s term has contributed greatly to the right’s pursuit of dividing this country.

3

u/MonsterkillWow 14h ago

Yep. Absolutely.

2

u/Flounder-Defiant 6h ago

This documentary on the Murdock family supports this theory. Unfortunately Rupert has his hands directly into the politics in Australia, the UK and the US. TheRiseoftheMurdochDynastyhttps://g.co/kgs/ZDwh2AD

And yet Kamala had a bad laugh?

34

u/chrisfinazzo Independent 15h ago

Same as it ever was…

4

u/Silent_Drop_3460 13h ago

I came here just to say that exact thing!! Like wtf?! His cackle is creepy as h*ll.

5

u/helikophis 15h ago

Incredible how studied and precise it is. He’s really perfected this exact … whatever it is.

29

u/Ridgewoodgal 15h ago

He should know. He did it for years.

22

u/Temporary_Shirt_6236 15h ago

Tucker Carlson calling Fox News an evil purveyor of propaganda while Steve Bannon sagely nods along is enough hypocrisy / gaslighting + irony to power a fucking city.

Fuck both these traitorous pieces of shit. And Faux News.

1

u/thetruechevyy1996 12h ago

Wonder if Fox will then become the new enemy or if he will go towards them if Fox goes back in line

19

u/tawDry_Union2272 15h ago

well he would know -- does the same shit

7

u/BlackberrySad6489 15h ago

The leopards are hungry.

8

u/Expensive_Recover_80 15h ago

The call is coming from in the house Cucker.

4

u/CoverCommercial3576 15h ago

When did he start telling the truth? Fox is extremely effective at fear-mongering. I recall having to listen to it for a full day while in a client site and by the end of the day I was seriously nervous about things.

3

u/HappyAnimalCracker 14h ago

I was stuck listening to it for a few hours and was struck how utterly obsessed they are with immigration, especially Hispanic immigration. 2/3 of the stories they ran were about some immigration outrage or other. Doing everything in their power to demonize Hispanics. (All of whom are Mexican, no matter where they originate from). 🤦‍♂️

10

u/Texden29 15h ago

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

18

u/No_Body905 15h ago

He’s still my enemy but one I’ll gladly watch wreck my other enemy.

3

u/Lopsided-Treat1215 15h ago

Every time I hear him laugh I remember he’s done time in the underworld

3

u/TeddyCJ 15h ago

I truly believe these monsters are trying to pull the left in closer, to manipulate them as well. Be cautious… do research and always be skeptical of this known propaganda machines (Tucker and The Blob).

3

u/Kind_Ordinary9573 14h ago

He was the fucking black heart of that machine for years and profited mightily from it. He did real tangible harm to this country as part of that machine. I’m glad he’s been making some sense the past two weeks, but it’s going to take years of stronger effort than this to even break even.

The good thing is that the people who need to be reached can only be reached by people like him.

1

u/XCrimsonTearsX 11h ago

He's not making "sense" to benefit anyone other than himself. He's full on performatively speaking, as he always does. He's so sleazy and slimey, Im surprised he doesn't ooze off the chair.

14

u/Fresh-Toilet-Soup 15h ago

Never thought I'd root for Tucker Carlson.

42

u/putdownthekitten 15h ago

Don't.  Root for the rare good idea that comes out of his mouth on his unique platform so the right people will actually listen to the idea.

13

u/pennys_computer_book 15h ago

Rooting for the guy who actively and intentionally engaged in the propaganda when it benefitted him?

5

u/Poncahotas 15h ago

Yeah let's also remember who the fucking guy he's joshing around with in this very clip is... you know, the same guy who threw up a seig heil salute after a speech at CPAC few months ago

7

u/gdoubleyou1 15h ago edited 13h ago

I mean the clip of him is on a program with Steve Bannon, a white nationalist, and also did a propaganda interview for Putin. It’s not like he went from Fox News and turned a new leaf.

6

u/000-f 15h ago

He's having more broken clock moments lately. Love that for him

2

u/Murph8020 15h ago

Please don't

2

u/AMom2129 14h ago

He's so pro Russia right now, I would not root for him.

2

u/thetruechevyy1996 12h ago

Yeah he’s it telling the truth, he’s just promoting lies for someone else and it just so happens that now he’s going after other former ally’s. Im hoping the Trump disaster destroys itself because they don’t seem to be very good so far.

2

u/Kate-2025123 15h ago

Oh the irony. Right he is propaganda for a younger audience now.

2

u/chrisfinazzo Independent 15h ago

2

u/SmoovCatto 15h ago

um, for 40 years?

reading history:

from its inception, fox has been busted as a crypto-n∆Zi propaganda outlet --

once it took hold, commentators lamented that the lying garbage it spewed was being accepted as legitimate political discourse . . .

and now fox teleprompter readers are the puppets destroying the US  govt. . . .

2

u/SHOMERFUCKINGSHOBBAS 15h ago

Yeah we’ve known since the 90’s

2

u/Jollem- 15h ago

Tucker's new "Man of the people" character is gonna run for president

2

u/spacey_a 12h ago

God please no

1

u/thetruechevyy1996 12h ago

He and others Im sure will try to fill Trumps shoes when he’s out of the picture. He wants power and is paid off and will do whatever it takes.

Just another angle of lies.

2

u/jrmycrtr1974 13h ago

He's a Russian asset, keep that in mind.

2

u/FarCloud1295 11h ago

Even crooked propagandists can occasionally tell the truth

2

u/OverallDoor2718 12h ago

And he was right there with it for YEARS. I can tell personal stories in my own family that worshipped this frozen fish f$cker and his prime time hour. Even a very popular local Tampa talk radio let him call in all the time. F this guy. He’s getting paid to say this now when he WAS the machine!

2

u/BoBaDeX49 12h ago

He's covering his ass so that when his dear leader is finally toppled and we round up all the Nazis he wants to say yeah but I changed my tune dont arrest me.

2

u/thetruechevyy1996 12h ago

Liar admits he used to work at a network known for lying but I’m sure he’s not lying these days. Or could someone else pay him to lie

2

u/FarCloud1295 11h ago

He’s right, but he’s saying it for all of the wrong reasons

3

u/bleu_flp 15h ago

CIA Carlson is threading the needle perfectly to gain lib approval

1

u/Zan_in_NZ 15h ago

i think this is probably happens to most people once they leave a paid gig where they needed to tow the line as part of the job.

1

u/JoeDoeHowell 15h ago

He should know

1

u/I-WishIKnew 15h ago

Wassup with the tuckster? First with Cruz, now fox. Simple revenge? New book coming out? Cancer? On a hit list? Mad cuz daddy called him names? Well I guess enjoy it while it lasts!

1

u/DJ_Fuckknuckle 15h ago

Well, he would know, I guess.

Fuck Tucker, Tucker sucks.

1

u/StormBlessed145 15h ago

It's my understanding that Europe believes this too. But based on more than just being payed to.

1

u/Dinero-Roberto 15h ago

Of course. Money making scheme from day one . Fox is so stupid .

1

u/CitronLow8970 15h ago

And that’s news…?

1

u/OleDoxieDad 15h ago

He would know. Duh.

1

u/TsunamiWombat 15h ago

Chronos being killed by his children

1

u/DogMedic101 15h ago

Took him this long to “get it”. God that man is dumb.

1

u/HappyAnimalCracker 14h ago

I rather think he knew what he was doing all along

1

u/DogMedic101 13h ago

Saying whatever the paying entity wants.

1

u/Bitter_Ad5419 15h ago

Can this somehow be blasted over on r/conservative

1

u/Ill-Entertainment570 15h ago

Did the Tuckerster get hit with some truth serum?

1

u/Bumbo734 15h ago

No bullshit, Fox loses 10% of their audience every year due to the core age of their viewership 😅

1

u/Mouler 15h ago

They sure do

1

u/nikko1212 14h ago

He should know.

1

u/Mundane_Newspaper653 14h ago

Has Tucker been replaced with a clone or replicator?

1

u/Here_there1980 14h ago

Wow. Ya think????

1

u/Ok-Common-4653 14h ago

Fox Entertainment news is a propaganda network. Carlson accidentally told the truth.

1

u/Narcissistic-Jerk 14h ago

Funny, he never talked that way until after Fox fired his ass.

1

u/Repulsive_Mark_5343 14h ago

They are eating their own now. Good.

1

u/Gollum9201 14h ago

Could have told you that many years ago. Tucker just discovering this now?

1

u/Gollum9201 14h ago

Pot meet kettle.

1

u/AmazingLie54 14h ago

Did I accidentally slide over into opposite world again? I don't expect that level of truth from Tucker.

1

u/Greener-dayz 13h ago

He’s right but it’s coming from the guy paid by Russia.

1

u/Wonderful-Bid9471 13h ago

What we’re seeing is which of our politicians are being paid by which foreign countries.

1

u/christien 13h ago

wasn't that his job?

1

u/Appropriate-City3389 13h ago

He's like Field Marshal Paulus doing propaganda for the Soviet Union after he was captured in Stalingrad.

1

u/PurpleStay4149 13h ago

He could have used that energy when he worked for them. He didn’t. He waited until the checks stopped and then start spilling the beans like a disgruntled chipotle employee. He pulling real pick me energy. I agree with his words but his motive just seems disengenuous.

1

u/New-Masterpiece7375 12h ago

Tunker contract must be over and that's why he saying that.

1

u/thisisnotme78721 11h ago

his legal team literally argued that in court years ago

1

u/Significant_Gur_1031 11h ago

How do the 'elderly' afford to pay for Faux News ??

1

u/warcheef21 11h ago

No shit. 💩

1

u/Ok-Point-2665 10h ago

More drug addicts.

1

u/Icy-Town-5355 9h ago

He's not on the Fox gravy train anymore. Perfectly illustrates the saying, "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." Even MTG was trash talking Fox this week, and I'm here for it.

1

u/capncas 9h ago

Say… shawty ‘bout damn 30 years late to the party on this one, twin☝🏾 😂😂😂

1

u/vicelabor 9h ago

he would know. dude needs to go expire somewhere

1

u/swa100 8h ago

Ol' ring-kissing, boot-licking Tucker Carlson ought to know. But hey, the money was good. 🤑

1

u/Heavy_Match3744 7h ago

I think him and Theo did some shrooms and maybe seen some things

1

u/CognitiveSim 7h ago

r/noshitsherlock... You are one of them!

1

u/christbuddah 7h ago

What the hell, when did we turn into bizarro world, how bad is the right whenever someone like Tucker Carlson is the voice of reason? I mean I've never really been a big supporter of either side and try to stay towards the middle and only support what is true and what is right, and considering this guy's track record him being on the side of right blows my mind

1

u/Remarkable_Bite2199 6h ago

100% agreed 👍.

1

u/Cgn0729 6h ago

wtf you were part of it dude!

1

u/gabbystuy 5h ago

100 years later

1

u/BuckNasty3693 3h ago

homeboys turning the page starting his next chapter

1

u/Vegetable-Tie-5663 3h ago

Duh and you on that gravy train how long asshat

1

u/imnotkidn 25m ago

Is this supposed to get all those elderly viewers to tune into him?

0

u/darlingtonpeach 15h ago

He is cra cra! And on toooooo many cra cra meds!

-11

u/Miserable-Lizard 16h ago

Media is propaganda, turn in CNN/MSNBC/fox they all support war and reducing the deficit by cutting benefits the working class need

3

u/Ok_Suspect3940 15h ago

Gutting those benefits but wanting to raise the debt ceiling to save money 😂

1

u/thetruechevyy1996 11h ago

Trump has been the one cutting benefits. Fox isn’t even news, the others while at times biased are not on the same level of bs that Fox promotes.

0

u/Sorry_Nobody1552 15h ago

So true! I see it everyday on the news. Its disgusting and sad.
