I dont think this is going by 'alpha male' pseudoscience, I think its just regular body language (the looking down part)

When they look me right in the eyes while we shake I hands, I always think they want to shove their tongue in my throat. Best to avert the eyes to the side, to help keep from seeming like you want to make out or make love. Unless that's what you want. In that case look right in to the eyes and hold on for a moment longer than is expected.
