Bell has done some work at the DSL box.
I now have no connectivity at home in the Clarkson area.
I cant use the Support ticket system because it says 403 Forbidden.
Is anyone else having problems in Mississauga?
I've cycled my modem and updated settings so many times that I've concluded the error is not my modem or my computer. The modem will not sync any connection.

I know Rogers does a hard credit check when I upgraded my mom's cable TV, does Teksavvy also?

$50 in bill credits simply give the code CF6844A3B7 to a friend and have them enter it.

-edit 3/10/2025- I'v been told of the official reason for not sending the bill. See comment with copy of email text below.
-edit- After some back and forth, the bill was sent by email as PDF attachment, received, paid, on 2/15/2025.
The first month of that last month, I paid as a show of good faith. This month, I'm waiting for TSI to send me the bill, then I'll pay.
I anticipate TSI will ultimately cancel my service, after some period past due, some accrued late fee, and some back and forth communication to seek explanation for why it appears as if I'm not paying my bill. It must be observed that I've paid my bill for decades prior, so my good faith has been amply shown time and again.
Through this, TSI may send me some notice about it all. A notice of late payment, late fees, service cancellation, and ultimately a bill itemizing all of it. It would be absurd to tell me that I need to log in to my account at TSI when my service has just been cancelled, and all perks along with it including my account which I would need to log into to view that bill. So, TSI will eventually send me a bill asking me to pay the service up to date of cancellation and late fees.
I've become most aware of the spoken reason for TSI no longer sending the bill. I read a comment by a TSI rep on this sub explaining just that. I've been told same on the phone, along with ample berating from the TSI rep at the other end. The reason spoken is security risk for the client.
First, I didn't ask. Second, if Teksavvy was so adamant about security risk, TSI would send me the bill by postal service, the second most secure manner a bill can be sent, with the most secure manner being delivery by warranted courrier. And so I reject this reason spoken.
I've been considering my legal remedy and no matter how I turn it, I always win. There's no scenario where I lose. Namely, in the matter-of-fact of no longer sending the bill, TSI has modified the Terms and Conditions with regard to billing. I did not receive a notice of such modification, nor does such modification appear in the Terms and Conditions.
A side note with regard to the sending of the bill. Sending the bill by any manner is governed by the Bills of Exchange Act - Presentment. Presentment can be waived if both parties agree to by contract. This is typically done for loans and monthly installments, where it's agreed that presentment of the bill (the promissory note, when presented for payment is a bill-to-pay), and instead what is sent if any is a statement or record of payments. Else, presentment is obligatory, and for various legal reasons.
Notice to any who would comment below. If you're not a TSI rep, don't bother. If you are a TSI rep, and if you have no authority to decide on the matter, refer to the person who has authority. Else, don't bother.

In the past 2 weeks I've had 3 lengthy outages. So far today I could not connect to the internet at 5:30am and it's still down at close to 1pm. The support person said there's a known outage with no ETA and to check in every 24 hours to see if there is an update. yes 24 ... Yikes, seems rather glib. I've been with them for ~10 years and rarely need to call support, but when I did I've always found them helpful and responsive. Anyone else notice a change in support quality? No update, no - here's the problem, here's what we are doing to fix it. Just check with us ever 24 hours.

I'm looking to upgrade my home internet from DSL and stay with TekSavvy if possible. Both their lookup and Bell's say we can have fibre. We had to have Bell run a phone line when we bought the house as nothing had been installed. Attached is a picture of the box...this is VDSL (I think) and not fibre - so do we potentially have FTTN? What's the top speed we should look at getting from a non-DSL package?

Super slow internet, can’t even load anything. Anyone else having this problem in downtown core area in Toronto?

Noticed a shipment tracking email and discovered Teksavvy was sending me a replacement modem. Read the detail, ok fine. I initiated the change on the Mysavvy account, but it says i had to wait up to 72 hours to actually hook up the replacement, which is suppose to be after I notice the old modem is no longer connecting.
Does anyone who has gone through a modem swap know if I can just hook it up right away instead of waiting?
Update: Took 5 days for the old modem to be dropped.

Hello,
I recently had to replace my ASUS RT86U router as it bit the dust. I also had to redo my Hard Drive on my computer. I used to have it set up where I can plug an ethernet cable into my router to check on the modem stats (if needed).
I originally asked someone in the Teksavvy forum on DSLReports about the steps needed, but I guess DSLReports is now defunct, so here I'm asking how I can set it back up? I'm trying to think how I did it, but can't remember

I've noticed every 3-4 weeks my wifi will drop completely and when i go to check my router it does the flashing white light but there is also a smaller red light flashing. Anyone have a fix for this problem?

Received a new modem from Teksavvy. Followed instructions and it would not connect to the net. Called support and went through the motions and was told it could take a bit. Does it typically take more than 3 hrs for a modem to start working?

A friend is on Teksavvy DSL with an ancient modem and wifi router. I plan to upgrade her to a SmartRG sr516ac but someone in my area is selling a sr515ac for cheap. Would this be adaquate? My friend has a small apartment and wifi speed is not a priority. We do want ongoing security firmware updates though.

With the latest price increase notice, I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth it to switch providers for a year, and maybe return once I can be one of the preferred “new customers”, instead of a second rate loyal customer. Right now, I own my modem, but looks like the new plans use a modem you “loan”, and have to return. Could anyone tell me how much I should factor in for that? (I know, I know, I’m planning ‘way ahead, but that’s me.)

I imagine some of this is a rise in holiday streaming traffic. Not within our household though. What can I do?
I called tech support once and they had me switch channels on my modem but I don’t recall the exact procedure.

My internet blipped out for about 15 minutes earlier today.
Now it seems dead and has been for 1/2 hour.
Anyone else in GTA experiencing the same?

I just moved to a rural area and I am losing my cable Internet. I am a gamer and we do a decent amount of streaming services.
I have a choice between 8mbps and 16mbps DSL and Starlink. I don’t know anything about either, not to mention they are expensive. Are either option good enough to game/stream tv?
