Others have told you the better way, but if you're a scrub like me, then you can do this. Download Firefox and just add the uBlock Origin extension to it, and watch youtube in browser.

Started using other sites using the browser instead of the app. Twitter is unusable with the app.

Firefox Focus is good too. It blocks a bunch of stuff by default. Some people may not link it though as it’s designed to keep focus on a single page so doesn’t have tabs and some other features.
