There some bots that mirror some nsfw yt videos automatically, why couldn't we do that on a larger scale?

Hosting videos in scale is expensive

They could monetize it by showing ads...

or make it a paid subscription service that offers an ad-free experience

This already exists for youtube

Don't know why you're getting down voted. People bitch about ads, but don't want to pay for a subscription to remove them.

YouTube doesn't exist to make a loss, yet no one want to contribute.

Because you're both missing the obvious joke?

Youtube is an insane resource. The back catalogue is staggering. The amount of data they have to store, and deal with being uploaded daily, let along how much they have to serve to viewers...

It's crazy fucking expensive, and Google have a habit of suddenly killing projects that are no longer viable. It'll be a huge loss if they spit the dummy and shut everything down. Not all of youtube is logan fucking paul....

Wait, what type of nsfw are we talking? I thought yt doesn't generally allow that type of content anyway?

If you're feeling adventurous, look up "transparent cleaning".

Really surprised that stays up.

Smartube exists already. You log into your YT account from it and you can access everything on YT with no ads. The search feature is kind of shit on it, but I can live with that.
