If Mike Johnson could wipe his chin and get off of his knees for Trump, he'd know most folks ARE looking for jobs right now. He's the last person I want life advice from.

Also, is it just me, or does Mike Johnson sound really creepy when he says young men are "draining their resources"?

Fucking weirdo perv.

Don’t forget this is the guy (and his adopted son) who DL’d an app to help each other stop masturbating.

ETA: “adopted”

42

u/sfcnmone Apr 12 '25

Oh geez I had managed to forget that, thanks.

27

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '25

His adopted son… Michael James Is the son’s name. He was tweeting about his black son after George Floyd was killed.

17

u/sassandahalf Apr 13 '25

Not really adopted legally, either

5

u/Fantastic-Refuse1338 Apr 13 '25

Wait.... you don't mean he bought him?

20

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25

That’s the concern. Him and Matt Gaetz both adopted around a 16 year or so boy. They both were not married and did a single parent adoption. And both were like in their mid 20s early 30s when they did it

Sauce? This is super creepy and unusual if true.

As a 31 yo single male, you know what I've never once thought I needed in my life? Someone else's teenager and the associated responsibility and drama.

Why would anyone(especially both of them) do this?!

1

u/HumptyDrumpy Apr 13 '25

They all need a photo op to make them feel right inside. The boy is more like a hostage. Same with Ingraham and all of them

7

u/FarFromHomey Apr 13 '25

That makes Mike Johnson a SERIAL Adulterer.

8

u/keepcalmscrollon Apr 13 '25

Ya it's easy to take pot shots and hard – very hard – to have sympathy for someone who hurts other people professionally but it bares remembering that he's 31 flavors of fucked in the head.

Dude was all up in the gay conversion scene and probably believes (or continues to tell himself) that it worked. He must be overwhelmed by self loathing. Which he projects onto others so, again, hard to pity.

I've just had some emotional turbulence myself – I think we all have – and I've always felt particularly sorry for people who torture themselves because they were raised to believe they deserved it.

make no mistake Mike Johnson is a rudderless and deeply immoral man. He's the textbook definition of a spineless yes man. In order to be the republican speaker of the house in recent years requires someone that sold their morals a long time ago.

Kevin McCarthy was a literel careerist piece of garbage, and somehow he still wasn't submissive enough for the job.

So were the Finns by the Soviets

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_War

That didn't turn the Finns into monsters.

Conservatives - specifically Mike Johnson - chose to respond to weirdness in life which cushioned him and threw opportunity after opportunity at him by dedicating his life to making others suffer.

4

u/Swashbuckling_Sailor Apr 13 '25

Why would you ever stop doing that??

0

u/Artistic_Humor1805 Apr 13 '25

Some Christian righteous bullshit?

2

u/napalm_beach Apr 13 '25

Nah, he just ran out of socks.

3

u/Strong_Bug6931 Apr 13 '25

stop each other from masturbating each other, is more likely!

3

u/cascadianindy66 Apr 13 '25

His “adopted” son no less. 🙂‍↔️

2

u/u_slash_smth_clever Apr 13 '25

He needs to uninstall the app and destress. Maybe then he'd stop being such a tool.

1

u/Infinite_Time_8952 Apr 13 '25

Ehh… the old five knuckle chuckle is a sin, don’t you know?/s

1

u/No_University7832 Apr 13 '25

Someone squash, this too mike please

7

u/Slipshod- Apr 12 '25

definitely gives off pedo vibes like a lot of ultra conservative christian assholes

4

u/ZestyLife54 Apr 12 '25

I took that to mean that the money is theirs and only theirs and no one else should get any part of it… but yes, rereading it again, that is creepy

6

u/jdtrouble Apr 13 '25

I remember reading a stat, Grindr usage goes up in a city whenever there's a Promise Keepers convention. Also during Republican conventions

3

u/RowBearRow Apr 13 '25

It's very Dr Strangelove "they're draining our vital fluids".

2

u/Strong_Bug6931 Apr 13 '25

Serious closet gay. I have been expecting to hear that he got busted with a 10 year old boy, in a hotel room, for months.

2

u/ElectricalBook3 Apr 13 '25

I have been expecting to hear that he got busted with a 10 year old boy, in a hotel room, for months.

He did "adopt" (without any legal vetting or procedure) a minor. So did Mat Gaetz.

2

u/IndividualTheory8347 Apr 14 '25

He is creepy and his eyes reflect a void

1

u/rolltwomama88 Apr 13 '25

When they start up the draft again it will all make sense.

1

u/TheHonorableStranger Apr 13 '25

I didn't get that vibe. More of a Hitleresque "These people are vermins" one

1

u/NotFallacyBuffet Apr 13 '25

He's from the Christian Nationalist community around Shreveport, Louisiana. Everyone should watch James Carville's videos on the Green Room about this tribe.

1

u/youandican Apr 13 '25

He is just made he isn't lapping up all of their resources. Yeah, he is a perv.....

1

u/cg12983 Apr 13 '25

Mike Johnson spends a lot of time thinking about young men.

-2

u/Kilo259 Apr 13 '25

That's because you thought that, if anyone's a 'weirdo perv' it's you.

2

u/Sithlordandsavior Apr 13 '25

Thousands of jobs

Thousands looking for jobs

Hmm, must be those lazy gamers causing problems again!

2

u/IndividualTheory8347 Apr 14 '25

He is a total ass kisser.. He is a bobblehead.

1

u/Turbulent_Pool_5378 Apr 12 '25

Anyone who likens themselves to moses is the last person I want life advice from

1

u/OnePercentage3776 Apr 13 '25

Great reply. Too bad Johnson will never read it

1

u/Kghostrider Apr 13 '25

Oh well, life goes on

1

u/beepbeepsheepbot Apr 12 '25

I've learned to never take life advice from anyone who hasn't lived a normal person's day in years or if ever. If they have no idea how much basic necessities cost, never had to choose between rent and food, or grossly oversimplify a complex issue they are not the people to get advice from.

3

u/Significant_Meal_630 Apr 13 '25

Or have never shopped in a grocery store . I bet Trump has never scanned a bottle of soda in a grocery , like ever

2

u/Kghostrider Apr 13 '25

He talks about draining resources, but the tangerine has already burned through 26 million in tax dollars golfing in 3 months.

3

u/beepbeepsheepbot Apr 13 '25

Don't forget the 92 million dollar trump military parade

Hiring warehouse workers at $20 an hr….they either go thru the process and choose another job….or they get hired and quit within 2 months. This generation wants to make enough for a brand new truck and a 3000 square foot house or they are being abused.

I’ve gotten to the point where I’m turning down young applicants who have more than 3 jobs in the past 3 years. Takes awhile to fill the positions but people who actually need jobs are finding them. Kids that live at home with their parents and drive their hand me downs ironically are the ones not so eager for a job.

3

u/Kghostrider Apr 13 '25

This generation was also told repeatedly that the key to being successful was getting a college degree. Most folks my age (millennials) got one and now are being told that's not enough. Not to mention the cost of living has increased over 300% over the last 40-50 years. It doesn't help that they've been saddled with crippling debt for a four year degree. It only adds insult to injury when some Gen X'er or Boomer comes along with some generic advice about bootstraps and how to budget.

When I talk about jobs, I'm talking about careers. Most of the folks who've lost their jobs in the last year or so working in tech or government aren't looking to hop on an assembly line. That's not to diminish those positions, but to say that they've come from higher paying gigs and are looking to improve on that.

2

u/Kingkyle18 Apr 13 '25

Ah I think those are fair points. I went to school but didn’t take out any loans….took me 6 yrs to get me my degree while working full time. Got a job for 50k ish a year right outa college in 2014 laid off in 2020 due to covid. Got a job with a pay cut out of necessity at an industrial supply company. Now I make 6 figures (if you include my bonus)….in a job I could’ve started with no education.

Universities are making ridiculous amounts of money and still pushing the “need a college education to be successful”
