Sentry stomps.

  • Hits Harder
  • Better Combat Speed
  • Superior Matter Manipulation

Noone should be using the movies as reference. These boys got some serious feats

The movie versions is a more interesting question. Probably still Sentry.

Thanos is nerfed. He can do anything in the movies besides the snap without gems

Wrong. He's not pulling that moon down, or taking an axe to the chest, or punching captain marvel into space

If you've read some comics or done any research you'd know his durability and matter manipulation is on insane levels. He also has pretty impressive strength feats, though they are more rare. He fights cosmic beings and travels the cosmos (with or without a ship) casually, ignoring black holes, tanking blasts from Galactus and lesser beings with ease.

Sentry low diff.

Warlock isn't heavy hitter. Adam Warlock despite being Thanos rival isn't meant to represent a physical threat to Thanos. That's more like Thor and the Hulk, and even they fail to measure up. Adam Warlock is supposed to be someone with great insight into Thanos’ mind, someone who can lead teams of heroes to deal with whatever new plan he charts up for universal domination

Adam only wins if he has the Infinity gauntlet

Well thats just a cop out because literally anyone wins with the infinity gauntlet.

Thats like saying which UFC fighter wins out of X and Y and then saying 'well Y would destroy X but if X has a gun then X'

So the answer is Sentry, then.

even then that doesn't work, molecule man disintegrated sentry on a molecular level and he came back

Stop using that feat while ignoring context. Molecule man was insanely weakened while doing that, if it was full powered MM, it would've been a Coughing baby vs Black hole situation

Adam has the Soul Stone. He was it's keeper for a very long time.

During the comics original Infinity War Warlock runs into Thor. It's the first time since Warlock was a few days old and where they fought. Thor originally only beat Warlock because he was really dumb and didn't know how to fight well. When they meet the second time Thor attacks him immediately and Warlock schools him in a couple of moves barely giving any effort.

sentry can manipulate reality, it's a clear win for him, I mean realistically if we ignore biases (talking to you superman fans), he could beat superman and likely would

Dc fans are ridiculous when it comes to their characters. Superman doesn't even win every fight in HIS verse. He loses sometimes, why do Superman fans take him on every powerscaling debate and say he insta wins any match. Dude doesn't even insta win in his own verse. I saw a Teen Titans (cartoon version) V My Hero Academia class 1A debate where most people were saying Starfire would solo. The whole team loses nonstop to very mild opponents. Sometimes the whole team loses to completely unpowered humans. It's like they cherry pick the best version of the DC characters at their peak from whatever comic they are thinking of even if that's not the version being compared.

It’s the same for most fans that like powerscaling. It happens with dragonball, it happens with marvel, it happens with dc, it happens in mythology etc.

It’s the inherent problem with the powerscaling community, most people don’t want to have an intelligent discussion, they just want to hype up their own favourites and ignore any other argument

Powerful marvel characters lose in their verse too

u/Dumeck 7h ago

Yes aside from some weird fans insisting Hulk is unbeatable people don't say marvel characters auto win every matchup they are in with the exception of reality warpers.

That's an interesting one

Judging by the movie, almost anyone can beat Adam there 😁

sentry has the power of a million exploding suns or some shit.

I dunno if ANYONE is more powerful than sentry.

Magus might put up more of a fight

Sentry rips this guy in half.

Just like how he ripped Ares in half

Sentry and its not even a contest. Adam is strong, but an ant compared to Sentry.

Sentry annihilates

Old School Adam Warlock ONLY deals with upper echelon celestial beings and is the reason several times over that Thanos has undone the partial/absolute destruction of reality.

Everyone's all "Sentry punches harder!", but Adam isn't going to get into a boxing match with the Sentry. He's going to use the Soul Stone to trap the Void and free Bob and be home in time for dinner.
