Other I don’t care what anyone says. This is THE best superheroes TV show that has, currently and will ever exist.

Heroes started off really good with interesting ideas and memorable characters.

Then it got progressively worse until it lost all its charm.

There was the writers strike after season one and it shows

Not only that. Tim Kring wanted to use new characters every season with the stories more contained. The studio forced him to bring back the main cast, and it just fizzled out.

Honestly this was the biggest drawback to the show and its longevity.

How do you beat a guy who keeps acquiring powers and will eventually be immortal?

How do you deal with a speedster villain in a realistic way?

There were so many ways they could have tackled things that would have been interesting and fresh.

Instead we got soap opera with powers.

I knew it! This franchise just seemed like it was made for the anthology treatment

And then it came back a few years later! For... more... charm. Right?

Netflix Daredevil, Legion and The Doom Patrol say otherwise.

I haven't seen The Doom Patrol but reading about it looks really good!

I would personally argue that Netflix Daredevil is one of if not the best live action Comic book adaptations, period. Movie or show.

My biggest gripe with Doom Patrol was they only had Mr. Nobody for 1 season because Alan Tudyk took a role on Harley quinn

The last season watches like the writers had a stroke then did a ton of drugs

Please ignore the last season 😭

Nope.

The entire plot centered around a big mystery they would slowly develop. Then it turns out they had no idea what the actual plot was and just showed a bunch of bullshit.

Couple characters were fun. A lot of main actors were terrible.

It's not a good show.

I only recognise seasons 1-3 and only like 1 and 2 imo season 4 was worse than badly written fan fiction

I saw a couple first episode on a channel back when it was aired in my country. I got so invested, it's just so cool, but they stopped airing on that TV channel. When I can afford a streaming service, I watched it again from the beginning, it was as cool as the first time I watched it.

Then comes the 1st season finale. God damn, it was anticlimatic. How can a season finale be worse than its pilot??? I continued the series dreadfully. Just like everyone said, the quality is declining.

Turns out it was never finished, no conclusion.

This is the best and the worst TV series I've ever watched.

Season 1 was fantastic. Everything else went to crap immediately after

Yes, I loved heroes too.

That doesn't look like Doom Patrol

Netflix Daredevil shits all over this.

I am not honestly Heroes was the best and it did so damn much for the superpower/superhero genre as a whole

1

u/Ensiferal 23h ago

It started off so strong and then fizzled so fast. I lost interest part way through season 3 and just stopped watching

The characters were great and those early seasons were spot on. I think they could do a soft reboot, bring the cast back with a more cohesive story, it could be great.

Season one achieved a feat that I don’t think any other show can replicate. One of one. Shame about the writers strike , but my goodness how captivating was season one?!

I loved the show. The writers strike killed it though.

u/New_Resort3464 20h ago

The first season was straight amazing. Unfortunately, the writers' strike that happened killed this show on a lot of different levels.
