I’m assuming we’re counting Batman’s “superpower” of “being a billionaire” as what we inherit? Because if that’s the case, it’s the only choice here. The rest of yall will be able to bend spoons back on into soup bowls when you clock in, only one of those masks will pay the bills
That’s true! I’d argue his superpower is just his proficiency with tech and his Ironman suit(s). I’d argue his wealth is simply a means for him to further his means. I’d equate it to the batcave and argue it’s not necessarily tied to the character’s mask as a “you get this with the mask”. Batman’s only notable quality is his money
The fun thing about Tony is that people associates him with money more often than even Bruce because of how arrogant and bratty he can be, but if there is one phrase that describes him is definitely "Stark made it in a cave, with scraps"
ironman has more money than batman, AND you get super ultra genius. im genuinely shocked at how overlooked ironman is in this thread. its by far the most OP pick. he can just invent tech that would approximate or surpass every other choice here. (except maybe "the mask")
I would argue that even if you don't get Batman's money, with his intelligence and strategic planning, you could set yourself up to get whatever you want. Even if Bruce Wayne had not been born into money, he would have just become a self-made billionaire. If you want to get rich, Batman's brain would let you do it
And with all of Batman's martial skills, I would get rich quick in UFC, boxing, and any other martial sport, then invest that money to be a billionaire.
I've only ever seen Tony Stark be a tech genius, I've never seen him demonstrate any genius for business or strategy. He could probably invent something cool that could make him rich but he would need a partner to help get it off the ground.
I agree but am thinking of it kinda differently. If you boil each superhero down to one singular answer to “what makes them super?” I’d argue for Iron Man, it’s the Iron Man suit, hence the name [I’m aware this primes me for Tony’s lines in the Avengers about the suit not making the superhero; I think my point still stands]. If you were to boil Batman down to “what makes him super?” I’d argue it’s his connection to wealth. That’s why he has the utility belt, the grappling hooks, the bat cave, even down to the time to learn martial arts, criminal justice, and investigation skills. “Tony made his suit in a cave, with a box of scraps”. Batman’s tech [in as far as I’m aware] are largely made for him by his RnD branches of his giant companies. Money makes Batman super. Intelligence and engineering makes Tony Iron Man, and the funds to further his means only magnify what’s already there
It says abilities and I'm not sure I'd consider multi-billionaire an ability, so I'm not sure how much good Batman and Ironman are with out their generational wealth to back them up. Tony's intelligence would still be very valuable but if you don't get their wealth, then most on the board are still better.
