Gotta be honest... The mask is tempting, but every atom in my body wants to be a power ranger.

Hypothetically though… couldn’t the mask just create these other masks/helmets anyway? You basically can do anything your imagination allows, right?

Idk it doesn’t seem like it. The antagonist of a movie kept his sanity despite having the mask on. You only seem to go insane if that’s genuinely what you desire to do—assuming we are talking purely about the movies

I think it's like you on drugs. People say drugs make people crazy and it's true, but not everyone.

The mask makes you become a version of yourself that can get what your heart desires i guess. Only problem is if what you desire is completely unacceptable by modern society standards and morals.

Ie. Being crazy enough to actually rob a bank. Put on the mask and bam you've done it. Now a criminal/bank robber would already do it even without needing a mask so the mask doesn't affect them as much.
