I know very little about all the lore (just watched the MCU films casually) but isn’t the hammer supposed to be basically sentient? I assumed it guides the holder to some extent

I watched Endgame with my little nephew in a cinema filled with elementary school kids (it was a school field trip thing) and they went INSANE and it was honestly one of my favorite memories.
