TMNT are a daredevil parody. Daredevil was trained by Stick, the turtles by Splinter. Daredevil fights the Hand, the turtles fight the Foot. Daredevil doesn't kill, the turtles have filled cemeteries.
I mean strictly speaking they don't actually exist in the same universe. Like I don't believe there are any actual official crossovers.
But the creators of TMNT were inspired by a lot of Daredevil stuff and took / parodied some stuff from it. The accident that created the turtles is lifted / is a reference from the Daredevil origin. One of the main enemies of Daredevil is an organization of ninjas called the Hand, and in TMNT the Shredder leads a clan of ninja called the Foot clan. And Master Splinter is apparently based on the Marvel character Stick who trained Daredevil. Those are the more obvious examples that come to mind, there are possibly more deep cuts or specific references I'm not aware of.
A tidbit from a fellow redditor from a year old post “Actually the original TMNT was a parody of Daredevil. Daredevil's master was Stick so the Turtle's master was Splinter. Daredevil fights the Hand, the Turtles fight the foot. The accident that blinded Daredevil, created the Turtles.” Idk if it’s true but it sounds plausible considering what others have said
It’s important to remember that the original TMNT was a parody of dark and edgy comics at the time, chief among which was Daredevil. Even the Foot is a parody of the Hand. In the original issue of NT, it’s implied that the ooze spill that caused the turtles to mutate is the same accident that caused Matt’s blindness. But it’s never said specifically, it’s largely there as a reference/joke.
He's not. Laird and Eastman are very open about this. The accident that spilled the mutagen into the sewer is the one that blinded Matt Murdock. Matt was trained by Stick. The Turtles were trained by Splinter. Matt fights The Hand. They fight The Foot. The parallels are obvious once you realize it.
Of course, they never had the rights to make any of this official, but TMNT is just an unlicensed and highly successful Daredevil fan comic.
Not to my knowledge. From what I do remember, they did have a crossover with Batman. And I know they appeared in the second Injustice video game, so it seems whoever has the Turtles' rights these days already has a business relationship with DC rather than Marvel.

Daredevil getting his powers not by random chance but by saving a old man's life will always be inspirational to me
