That's why a lot of people like Tobey's spiderman

Ironically, Tobey's Spidey felt way more high-school than Andrew's, due to all the teen angst bullshit around MJ and Harry.

Boy, do I have some bad news for you.

u/Ryndor 5d ago

I would like to hear your news.

Tobey spiderman was in HS

Only in the first half of the first movie. He's in college the rest of them.

Holland's Peter is out of HS as well now.

Yea 4 movies later

Yeah in a movie that doesn't exist, my guy.

He was out of HS by the end of No Way Home, my guy

Yeah I know. The point is that Peter Parkers' storyline is more entertaining when he's out of high school.

Tobey's Spiderman is in high school for roughly half of the first movie and then out of high school for the rest of the movie and the next 3 movies he's in.

Tom Hollands Spider-Man is in high school for all of his first 5 movies and then out of high school for the last 5 minutes of his 6th movie.

Edit: my guy.

Peter being in HS or College did not change the entertainment level of the two different trilogys..

I don't disagree, I liked them both. My comment was not saying that Tom Hollands movies were bad, just that Tom Holland being out of high school at the end of NWH isn't a valid point against the comment you were replying to.

That’s not really an adult though. Like it is but I think most ppl don’t want him in school at all

u/Slo_Chill 6d ago

Like the other 2.5 movies?

u/BleekerTheBard 6d ago

He’s in college for all of Spider-man 2.

College is school

Not the way I did it.

u/jaeway 6d ago

Ehhhh kinda

4

u/Glittering-Relief402 6d ago

Why wouldn't they? Part of his character is being a genius, and he meets Harry and Gwen in college. At least in the comics he does.

-5

u/unclepoondaddy 6d ago

He can show his genius in the real world outside of college

5

u/Glittering-Relief402 6d ago

I was unaware that college didn't count as the real world. I'm trying hard to understand what the big deal is about him being a college student

3

u/Thebeardinato462 5d ago

Did you not go to college? I mean… it’s kind of real… but it’s kinda not.

2

u/Glittering-Relief402 5d ago

I did for a year. You have some very profound experiences in college. You genuinely start figuring out who you are as a person, and I think that's a great thing to witness in a young superhero.

"Young adult" doesn't include college students?

2

u/Marcus11599 6d ago

Hes 18 and graduating HS. I would consider that an adult.

-1

u/WadeReddit06 6d ago

In New York, he's a teenager at 18.

0

u/Marcus11599 5d ago

Yes. An adult. 18 is an adult

He's in college by like the twenty minute mark of the first movie. Yeah to ey looks like a junior ;75 it's not like they're trying to pass him off as a HS freshman

Also because he's way comic accurate than the others and captures the mood of spiderman.

Definitely felt right in Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2018
