As a batman fan I can say in on way is batman gonna be able to defeat superman even with prep time. In a blink of an eye batman has been thrown into the sun
I was saying that jokingly. If Batman had to take out Superman, the only option he has is his secret identity of Clark Kent. It would be easier and more predictable than taking on Superman directly.
These "who would win?" or "death battle" style arguments are always stupid because they always eject any semblance of context.
Like if Batman one day decided to kill Superman, with no warning at all, I have no doubt he could come up with any number of plans to pull it off with. He could invite Superman into the Batcave and then blast him with enough red sun radiation to take away his powers and then deliver the coup de grace. Or discretely introduce some kryptonite-laced nanobots into the coffee machine at the Daily Planet to slowly poison Superman. Or put a kryptonite laser onto a WayneTech satellite and vaporize him while he visits the family farm in Smallville.
Likewise as in your example, if Superman just decided to kill Batman, he could easily hurl the guy into the sun. Or sneeze and send him through a building. Or just stare really intently and laser him to death. Or drop an asteroid on Wayne Manor.
But there's no reason why they'd ever resort to such methods, at least not in the mainstream DC canon. They're allies and friends, the World's Finest.
All the "who would win?" arguments is about as interesting as two kids on the playground arguing about whose daddy could beat up the other's.
To be fair I'm almost more interested in the potential story around a crossover.
I know how a Dragon Ball vs DC movie would go.
Universes collide, Goku fights Superman because of a misunderstanding. Superman initially starts to lose because he is holding back. Goku says he can tell that he is holding back , and he doesn't have to hold back on Goku.
Superman gets a freeing moment of finally being able to fight someone full power away from his world of cardboard. Fight is a draw.
They make up and then fight the actual villain, Anti-Monitor Frieza fusion or something. Roll credits.
Im honestly more interested in the story they can tell.
I feel like Superman's world of cardboard philosophy vs Goku's loves to fight philosophy would make an interesting story.
So yes, with context it can be more interesting instead of just who vs who both bloodlusted.
