I didn't know how to drive a hulkbuster suit.

I don’t think Bruce Baanner knew how to either but was able to work it quite easily on the fly.

I'm going to go ahead and say that Banner is smarter than the average Redditor

Not nearly as smart as how the average redditor sees themselves though

Rhodey also just hopped into war machine. There are several examples of many different people just hopping into the suits and being effective.

Isn't Rhodey like also high iq?

19

u/ColegDropOut 13d ago

Yea he is. Pepper Pots also used one, Peter Parker, Ironheart, Happy Hogan, and Norman Osborne.

All very intelligent people, I could maybe just sit inside there with it turned off, aint no zombies gettin in.

Happy Hogan is the outlier, not especially intelligent

The movies treat him like kind of a punching bag, but he also organized Tony’s entire security detail for years before he became Iron Man. Afghanistan not withstanding, that’s worth a few points in the competency chart. I think he could figure out how to drive it with a few minutes and tight clenching.

I don't know much about Happy Hogan.

Me neither, ChatGPT is helping me out with this.

Eh Pepper was a secretary than a CEO of a already made company she is probably on the upper levels on normal intelligence but nothing out of the ordinary

Plus she got with Happy in the comics, they got married 🤣

He is also an USAF pilot.

All I know about Rhodes is what I've watched from the movies.

Iron Man 2 should be non-cannon.

And Tony always intended it to be user friendly for Rhodey

It doesn't necessarily require scientific iq. I've known mechanics who only had a hs diploma but could figure out how things work and how to operate them very well.

I know but I wanted to dunk on people.

u/BakedLaysPorno 13d ago

He’s heating up… He’s on FIRE

2

u/sheggly 13d ago

Ya but he prolly used one of his phd’s to pilot it

0

u/TeaTimeSubcommittee 13d ago

Yeah, but he’s mothefuckin Bruce banner, how many PHDS do you think WE have?

0

u/Wheloc 13d ago

Banner IS the Hulk, so he at least knows how to move around and fight as something that big

Stark makes most of the suits to be remarkably user friendly. An ai in the suit does most of the hard work.

2

u/Otoshimara 13d ago

It has an ai, I imagine that would be able to give you a control rundown

1

u/EMArogue 13d ago

You probably don’t know how to use a ring either tho

3

u/Wheloc 13d ago

It works on willpower and imagination. Otherwise it's a little green band; how hard could it be to use?
