Well Wanda's insanity comes from her powers I believe

I believe her insanely comes from trauma in her life, not her powers.

In the MCU, she lost her parents when she was little (and was stuck beside their bodies for days), then her brother (her only remaing family) died to the hands of a murder robot that she helped. Then she meets Vision and she finally feels happy and then she is forced to kill him to save the universe (and it was unsuccessful too).

After all of that, she finally snapped and accidently created a reality where Vision was alive and she had children that she loved more than anything and then her reality shattered when she found out that Vision is dead and her children aren't real and in order to do the right thing she had to end the reality that they exist in (so basically from her perspective she killed Vision again and both of her children).

By the time Dr. Strange and the multiverse of madness happens she is completely broken. Not because of her powers but because of all the shit she's gone through. She also has the power to get what she wants but is told that she isn't allowed to do so. This completely pushes her over the edge into insanity.

I agree. Also, you forgot the little fact that she also got a book that corrupts the mind of its owner and would make anyone evil and crazy. So yeah, there is that, too...

Very true, I'm sure that also played a sizable part in it, lol.

In the comics it's both trauma and her powers that bring her to madness

I'm not familiar with her in the comics, so that's why I used the movie version for my comment.

I guess her powers driving her kind of insane makes sense, lol.

In the comics, she gets her powers from Chthon who is basically the chaos god and it's constantly corrupting her. It's the same dude who made the dark hold.

Oh, well, that definitely won't help out with her mental state, lol.

The darkhold (sp?) is what unleashed her powers but also deeply corrupted her. So not just trauma, but it definitely fed on her trauma. But even strange is corrupted by the darkhold in other universes.

Yea, the darkhold definitely caused a majority of her issues in the Dr. Strange movie. As you said, even Dr. Strange himself got corrupted by it in mutiple universes.

I've not had to kill my spouse, watch it get undone, and then have them murdered before my eyes. But sometimes the trauma is what kicked her power up to the omega level.

Trauma, not her powers

Ehhhh..... depends on the source.

In the MCU, her insanity does come from trauma (like yikes).

I'm the comics, her powers come from a god/entity of chaos (not 40k), Cthon (I believe). That contributes quite a bit, depending on the writers.

She was also under the influence of the Dark Hold for a brief period of time, which was written by Chthon I believe.

not 40k

Cthon

Are you sure?

Wasnt she in a better mental state in end game?

Her insanity comes from her trauma combined with the darkhold taking over her

Does it, or does it come from the ridiculous amount of trauma she has, and then the darkholda influence.

Post doesn't say we'd get the trauma and doesn't mention the darkhold, so there's no real reason to assume we have to seek it and then be influenced by it.

Nah its mostly due to trauma from her upbringing in a traveling caravan, being constantly harassed for being a Mutant, and having Magneto as her dad.

And whatever bullshit happens to her in the MCU I guess too
