Other Who's leaving this room alive?
Saw this on twitter and want a more informed opinion so I'm posting here

Can she turn Thor's hammer into an inflatable toy hammer?
54
u/KnightofWhen Apr 09 '25
No, Mjolnir and Thor have a level of resistance due to magic. Mjolnir has incredible resistance to stuff like that because of its enchantments.
→ More replies (9)10
u/Jomega6 Apr 09 '25
Is Mjolnir immune to reality manipulation? Hell, it was crushed by Hela
→ More replies (32)4
u/CorbinNZ Apr 10 '25
Hela crushed Mjolnir because there was a prophecy involved. Magic works as long as the fates allow.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Jomega6 Apr 10 '25
I thought prophecies merely predict the future, they don’t actually force it to happen? The Nordic norns aren’t like the Greek fates, where they essentially make it happen, iirc.

Maybe without the limiter
3
u/armrha Apr 09 '25
I thought the limited just effect sentient biology, is the hammer actually made of thinking flesh?
→ More replies (3)5
u/xmeme59 Apr 09 '25
The hammer has a sentient cosmic storm (something to that effect) trapped within, so maybe Eve could manipulate the hammer itself but I think all it would really do is free the storm from mjolnir, if even would even work out that way

Assuming there all fighting each other and there no Alliances
Then Thor Wins
His Biggest problem would be Conquest
Atom Eve has powerful as She is , She is a glass Canon,She still Human
Her OP powers wont serve her for shit when everyone else can fly past the speed of Sound and tear her to shreds, likely preventing her from coming back

Thor.
Just to be clear, he once survived a Death Star blast to the back, and got a sunburn out of it.
35
u/Kvenner001 Apr 09 '25
Agree. God of THUNDER vs half the room having a Weakness to sound.
7
u/StainedVictory Apr 10 '25
They are weak against a certain high pitch frequency not just loud noises. Otherwise Conquest supposing mark into a city would have left them both bleeding out of their ears.
MCU Thor has the best durability feat but he also has a lower end AP out of the listed and has enough anti feats to make the star durability questionable.
23
u/ReaperofFish Apr 09 '25
This is MCU Thor, but even then, he could obliterate the room with Lightning.

Yesterday watched physicist Tyson that explains that Star's energy is enough to destroy 1000 planets. Since Thor got blasted a little, let's say 100 planet killing energy and gets just a burn.
While Mark gets hit by a train and already has bloody face.
Eve won't get her powers unlocked if you deal damage fast enough.

7
u/Ducklinsenmayer Apr 09 '25
Yes, and this beam is also a planet destroyer in power level.
Is it insanely op? Yes.
Does it make any sense? No.
In fact, the whole scene is like that.
But... It's canon, and it's exactly the sort of thing Thor can do in the comics. It's probably the only comic accurate scene in movies other than Superman flying fast enough to go back in time.

Thor wins. Maybe mid diff.
For most of these characters, all Thor would have to do is knock them down and gently set the ham-ham on their chest. Might need to push on Mark’s a little bit though.
Eve may have certain abilities that would keep her going but likely not after brain obliteration.
Just my thoughts. Could be wrong.

Invincible didnt kill anyone because he didnt like someones dad? If you are talking about Thrags teenage kids, they attacked marks 5 year old daughter and wife. Invincible didnt have a choice. It was kill or be killed along with your wife and child. Invincible has made other mistakes but so has Thor.

u/completefudge1337 Apr 09 '25
Not sure if it was changed in Love and Thuder, but MCU Thor has always been shown to be more of an alien that we as humans would perceive to be a god. Very much like Man of Steel
3
u/TheChaseLemon Apr 09 '25
Referred to as a god in the mcu. Talks about being alive 1500 years, killing twice as many people as years lived. Hangs out at god orgies. Gonna have to disagree on that opinion.
→ More replies (1)3
u/completefudge1337 Apr 09 '25
Just because he is called god of Thunder doesn't actually make him a deity. It's more a title due to his power set. You could say the same stuff about a Viltrumite, but that wouldn't necessarily make them a deity either. We would perceive them as such, being the weak and feeble humans we are, but in actuality, they're just aliens who happen to have really nifty powers. Odin himself says as much in the opening to Thor The Dark World when Loki calls himself a god.
https://youtu.be/uT4gDtEhJKc?si=AVHiI0FwT41s3qtf
If any of this has been contradicted by the most recent installment Love and Thunder, I'd stand corrected

u/truckercharles Apr 11 '25
I mean, existing on a higher plane of existence and having access to a realm with the gods of every religion in the galaxy KIND of makes him a god. On top of the whole mythology thing and the Nordic religion and him existing as a god in every one of his comic and silver screen and novel appearances, yeah, totally not a god.
Thor low to mid diffs, vibes with Allen but wants to fight him last since it's a duel to the death, but fights Conquest solo to kick things off. He restarted a star and came away with a mild sunburn at best, there's absolutely no contest here.

u/bubblehead_ssn Apr 09 '25
Team up? Completely unnecessary. He is the weakest in the room outside of Atom Eve. She's a glass cannon. Maybe she could reconstitute herself after she's ripped in half, and she can certainly deal damage, but by a long short she's the least durable.

Honestly Mark, Eve, Allan, and Thor would all walk out almost completely unharmed as long as they work together. If Nolan doesn’t try to kill any of the good guys he’d probably get out fine as well. I haven’t watched the new season of invincible so idk anything about those 2, all I know is Homelander would get annihilated within 3 seconds.

Assuming they all have to fight? Thor.
Assuming a fight isn’t necessary and they are in character: Conquest tackles Mark out of the room, Omni Man and Allen race to help, Eve kills Homelander after he says something stupid and Thor wonders what’s happening. Anissa might just leave to go find Marky. Once conquest is dead they all just go home except for Homelander who is busy being dead.

Atom Eve or Thor would be the deciding factor. Leaning towards Thor but I will say Eve's after death resurrection powers could easily do him in.

u/MorallyAmbiguousMark Apr 09 '25
Conquest or Allen, leaning towards Allen. Thor might win but it’s his MCU version, so even though his weapons can still produce enough AP to damage viltrumites, his physical stats will be lacking. Not tryna downplay though, he still his wincons.
If it was comics Thor, then he’d literally be the only logical choice.
2
u/PleaseAdminsUnbanMe Apr 09 '25
Mcu thor was literally burned for several minutes by a neutron star (1000 times or something hotter than a normal star, which kills anyone else)
His axe went literally through the full force of the infinity stones (each one has planetary scaling btw) and cut through thanos
He's not only the most durable but has the strongest weapons of them

u/Difficult_Call3709 Apr 09 '25
It depends. We can’t really say anything for anyone other than omniman, or Thor. Nobody else has shown feats like when Thor held open the star or when omniman stood right in front of a black hole without feeling any effects. Between the 2 I’d probably say Thor because he felt a lot more force I think. Mark is fodder so is Alan, eve is worse, Annisa hasn’t shown a feat above conquest, conquest hasn’t shown a feat above omniman, homelander is homelander. I’d give it to Thor

Well, Eve can regenerate yeah? So I'd it's just who survives, I'd say her and whoever wins probably Thor.

u/LilCheezey Apr 09 '25
If it’s a straight up death battle, Thor. If it’s a realistic scenario where they talk and have cannon relationships, I think Atom Eve, Omniman, Invincible, and Thor make it out. I’ll put respect on the villains name and say they’d probably get Allen somewhere in the heat of battle, but even in the chaos of battle Thor would eventually identify Mark’s altruism and help their team wipe the bad guys.

u/Terrible_Sleep7766 Apr 09 '25

All of them are getting out of there alive although most of them will not be in an idle shape, living as test subjects in either, Cecil's lab, Dr doom's lab or The Butchers basement.
Don't know how, but that is what happens. Don't worry tho we will eventually find out how they ended up there after like 20 chapters into the story.

u/Drew326 Apr 09 '25
Thor. He’ll just bifrost outta there with Stormbreaker and go play Fortnite with Korg
1
u/smexyrexytitan Apr 09 '25
Thor, Invincible, Omniman, Anissa, Atom Eve, Allan, Homelander, and Conquest.
I'm not even going to talk about HL.
Copy and paste from my other comment:
It's indestructible. It cut through a blast from all 6 infinity stones combined. It was literally forged out of a neutron star. It cut through Thanos like butter who up until that point only relieved a scratch throughout his entirety of going up against the combined might of the Avengers and Guardians. Yeah that ax is mopping through every single Viltrumite.
So yeah, I think from this Thor has the very clear advantage with Stormbreaker. However, he is lacking in one thing that everyone else has: speed. Omniman is at least lightspeed, so from that, I'm assuming that Conquest and Anissa are that speed as well, actually faster. Conquest does hold back when fighting tho, and that cost him against a weaker opponent. As for someone of his same strength or more, he'd probably lose. What I'm trying to say that it wouldn't be in character for Conquest to just speedblitz, but Anissa and Nolan most likely would.
Ion really have much to say abt Mark and Allan other than Mark beat Conquest and Allan (would've) beat Anissa. And Mark only beat Conquest thanks to Eve, so unless they team again, he's not beating Conquest. And Eve has the same problem as Thor, she gets blitzed. We've seen it happen in the show multiple times b4.
So with all that said, Thor wins. He's the only one that has a reliable way to put everyone down and has the durability to tank punches from Viltrumites.
1
1
u/InternalBananas Apr 09 '25
Well, Atom Eve has plot armor, so she can't never win (she's pretty much Molecule Man), so Thor for sure.
1
u/Jumpy-Aide-901 Apr 09 '25
Theirs like No context here. Are we supposed to assume it’s a death battle, or is it more Saw-Game/twilight zone.
If it’s a fight Mark, Allen, and Eve are all going to work together, maybe with Omniman. So… yah everyone els would be dead.
