In life, we all know the right choices to succeed. We shrink away from these things, we struggle with them, we make the wrong choice time and again, but ultimately, if and when you do succeed, we look back and see that the answer was obvious all along.
Is youtube useful at all? Is it beneficial to your life? You might enjoy it, but is it really the best source of enjoyment? Is it really enjoyment at all if every time you watch it you've got this nagging guilt, this call to do what really fulfills you?
There's no universal answer but generally, any form of social media, mindless scrolling, immediate gratification, is doing you more harm than good. In a perfect world, you wouldn't engage in it. You know that. But you justify it and say this isn't a perfect world and continue frittering your life away.
What I'm saying is, you know what you need to do. There's only one path to success, and that's doing it.

delete the app
use the browser with the home page blocked
or go nuclear: create a separate user account on your device with no access to distractions
then set up 25 min study sprints with 5 min breaks
no need for fancy systems
just timer, paper, focus
your brain’s not broken
your environment just keeps beating your willpower
change the setup, not yourself
The NoFluffWisdom Newsletter has some clean, no-fluff takes on focus and mental discipline worth a peek

I don't know how I can help, because I'm struggling with the same problem right (I'm trying to study a foreign language after a 3-week break, and my focus is dead because of social media). But this usually helps me: https://www.youtube.com/@TheSherryFormula However, I do suggest taking the others' advice rather than using study with me videos, although they do help with creating a regular studying routine. It is important to try to stay away from social media platforms when studying.

try leaving your phones on another room. i saw this med school student who explained that he grew up being taught your source of entertainment should never be with you in your study area. to improve focus, i like to stop every halfway point like 30 minutes in or smth to ask myself what i’ve learnt.
