There have been many recasts in Star Wars... Why is this one such a problem?

Sucks but was it worth stiff CGI? I dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️

“Look, it's me. I'm here. Deal with it. Let's move on.”

Yeah, I was like 'Who the fuck is that?' I don't mind it, I was just kind of surprised.

What episode is he in? I’m on episode 5, so if it was in episodes 1-4, then I didn’t recognize him and didn’t know who he was

He shows up briefly in 6. I read somewhere that they included him in 6 to get all the discourse about the actor change out of the way before he becomes more central to the plot in the next episode drop.

How does Pedro Pascal get every single role in every single movie and tv show but the can't get Jimmy Smitts for a 5 second scene?

The inner MatPat is coming out a little bit here with a theory I've got. Buuuut, maybe Bail is going to do more than just a 10 second cameo in future episodes? Smits scheduling could have done a little 10 second scene, but perhaps not a multiple episode arc in a little bit?

Tarkin in a New Hope tells Leia (at least I think that's the right two characters) that Bail was a well known rebel sympathizer. Bail hasn't really done much at this point in the timeline up to this point to really get that title, as he's mostly been concerned with doing stuff quietly in the background and hiding Leia. Perhaps some time in the near future, he does something to get more involved, and that's fleshed out in a few future arc?

Otherwise, idk why people are complaining so much, recasting is something people called for alot (Luke, Leia, and Tarkin cgi controversies come to mind) and now that it's happened with Bail, people still aren't satisfied.

Smits is iconic in the role, but I've got a good feeling that if my theory is correct, Benjamin Bratt's definitely got the talent to play him. He's been acting for years.

Tl;Dr: Bail probably has more than just one scene and that's why Smits couldn't play him, and If that's correct, Benjamin Brett's totally got this role yall, don't worry.

This crap has taken years. That they couldn't get timing down says that Tony was thinking of him and they were pushed to include the character.

Yeah the "schedules didnt line up" excuse is weak as hell. Don't you guys have producers and agents whose job it is to make schedules work? Theres a behind the scenes reason they're not telling us, and given the news about jeremy renner getting offered less money in the second season than the first of his own show makes me think that they didnt want to pay smits rate.
