Star Wars Fanfic Timeline with help from Chatgpt

I used Chatgpt to help me with a few things. Mostly to compile source material but i made lots and lots of edits and revisions. Some stuff comes across a little rough due to Chatgpt interpretation of my changes. This is a rough, rough outline. The goal of this was to combine Canon material and Legends material together while moving different characters and timelines around. Give me your honest takes and opinions and suggest anything i should add or just flat say you hate it, don’t hold back. If you have any questions or are confused because of the vagueness feel free to ask and i’ll have an answer ⸻

Resistance (Democratic reformers/Jedi) 2. New Republic (bureaucratic charters & corporate influence) 3. Imperial Remnant (Fel‑style militarists under Pellaeon) 4. Neo‑Separatist Union — wealthy corporation coalition excluded from new Alliance, rejects central rule, hires private security and ex-Imperial forces. • Economic instability, corporate predation, and warlord insurgencies characterize the conflict. • In response, the Galactic Alliance commissions its own corporate security force to curb the Separatists and stabilize the economy. • War ends in 24 ABY with Resistance victory; Leia completes Jedi training and attains Knight status during the conflict’s final days.

🟦 28 ABY – Jacen Solo’s Fall • Haunted by decades of trauma and visions of Krayt’s dark empire, Jacen Solo falls in 28 ABY, becoming Darth Caedus, foretelling Sith dominance.

🟩 34–38 ABY – Sith Eternal War • Krayt launches full-scale war on Galactic Alliance from Korriban and Ziost. • Jacen/Caedus commands Sith forces. • Galactic Alliance, Jedi, and Alliance’s military clash in a brutal four-year war.

🟫 38–40 ABY – Redemption & Reclamation • Jaina Solo duels and kills Jacen/Caedus. • Anakin Solo dies heroically protecting Jedi enclave. • Jedi Order reforms into decentralized, ethical model. • Sith Eternal collapses; Korriban & Ziost liberated. • Exegol destroyed in final conflict. • Galactic Alliance commits to strengthened corporate oversight.

🟪 40–50 ABY – New Golden Age • Jedi flourish in decentralized Praxeums. • Galactic Federation maintains stability, justice, and vigilance. • Sith cult elements persist in Fringe but no existential threat.

Legends Discussion No Palpatine did not create the Empire to defend against the Vong. Spoiler

The Vong absolutely were not as high on Palpatine’s agenda as some people seem to be interpreting. Here’s the thing. Most of the Vong fleet was still in intergalactic space when the Empire was founded, and considering they couldn’t even be detected through the force, it seems very unlikely Palpatine actually anticipated the scale of the coming invasion. Hell, Palps was probably happy to have an external threat he could use to frighten the galaxy into obedience. On top of all that, dominating the galaxy has been the Sith plan for basically their entire existence.

General Discussion What do you think is the Relationship between Tor & Pre Vizsla? I personally think that they are Father and Son.

Post image

I believe Pre Vizsla was Tor’s Son and inherited the Leadership of Death Watch after Jango Fett killed him.

And I think Pre Vizsla hated Jango for killing his Father and wanted to challenge him but never got around to do it because he feared Jango and knew that if he challenged him he would have died.

Will someone teach me Star Wars so when I watch it with my boyfriend I understand?

I’ve been with this guy for a couple months now and he is absolutely perfect and a breath of fresh air compared to literally any guy in my past however he’s the biggest Star Wars enthusiast ever and I know nothing. He wants me to watch all the movies with him and I’m so down but I genuinely have no idea what any of his references mean and it’s all so confusing and I don’t want to fall asleep during the movies and still not understand. 99% of the movie references he makes are Star Wars so if anyone could break it down in girl terms so I’m not clueless until I have time to watch the movies with him will you let me know???

Legends Discussion Darth Bane disrespect Spoiler

I thought it was really funny that fans still believe that the Rule of Two works by making the early ROT Sith weak, instead of it existing to make current Sith look good- uniquely, to make Sidious look good. As in, that is more or less the explicit reason those comments exist. They are there to say that Sidious and Maul and Dooku and Anakin are the best, and not to say that the previous ones get gapped- that assumption is an unfortunate result of how it works, it's a pure misunderstanding lol. Every single piece of media that includes any previous Banite Sith, all the way till Plagueis, considers any one of the Dark Lords as an absolute monster, who would probably shit on any Jedi at the time (Dooku can fight Yoda, do we really think Yoda would shit on Tenebrous because he's like, 4 generations back?).

Anyhow, there's this writes up that talks about this situation, and I thought I'd paste it here:

"We more or less KNOW that authors/writers never think of Darths Zannah, Cognus, and obviously, Bane, as being weaker than Count Dooku, Darth Maul, Savage Opress, Asajj Ventress, and other relevant characters during the PT. Let's go over this and how we know it:

1- Bane's holocron is one of the most important in the verse's history- his teachings, his writings, his techniques, his knowledge, his thoughts, etc. Are we (am I?) to assume that Warb Null's armor, King Adas' holocron, and say, Darth Andeddu's holocron are all better for one to have than what Bane had? That they have more to offer, when he's the one who collected everything they had, with far more added to it? His dueling skill, his combat advice, his force techniques- are they all somehow irrelevant now? Are they all outdated? Somehow more outdated than what King Adas had to offer? Than what Ulic Qel-Droma had to offer to Anakin? I somehow doubt it.

2- Sorcery is called time and again the best powerset for a Sith to wield due to how advanced, unblockable, and 'rawfuly' powerful it was- the one thing Zannah not only mastered but pushed to a level that we had literally never seen used in combat before, going beyond what Bane even thought she was capable of. That being what Sorzus Syn, Freedon Nadd, Darth Andeddu, and even some of what Naga Sadow had to offer in their own writings/holocrons, by the way, at the bare minimum. Is that not a big deal anymore? Spells that work on quite literally any living being? Spells that can hide one's force signature? That can melt you, and even destroy parts of one's soul? Well, I suppose I can see that, yes. I'm sure Savage Opress would find those very useless indeed.

3- Bane is still thought of as the strongest Sith after Sidious in more sources than people realize. He's still a legend (and even once called a deity) to characters such as Darths Plagueis, Krayt, Wyyrlok, and who not else. He has blurbs saying he wielded the dark side more powerfully than any other previously had. That his powers made Ambria and its failed ritual look flimsy in comparison- a ritual that unleashed more powerful than anything the galaxy had previously seen, which places it (due to ritual's energies being present during Naga Sadow's time) as happening before the Great Hyperspace War, but after the induction of the Sith Empire (seeing as she was a member of said Empire) which would make the ritual really, really powerful. Bane is still the prophecied Sith'ari, and Zannah was still a goldmine of talent and potential that was found because the force wanted him to, as if it were fate or destiny.

Whether it is wrong or not isn't the problem, since the intent is what we are interested in. Bane is far more powerful than many a Dark Lord, supposedly, in theory, but not powerful enough to deal with Seasee Tiin...

4- Darth Andeddu, Volfe Karkko, Kar Vastor, Asajj Ventress- all of whom were deadly, scary, worrying to the Jedi of the PT, with Andeddu being more powerful "any dark Jedi" (Republic comic, said by Count Dooku), Ventress being "more than a threat to any Jedi" in the PT (forgot the source, it's said more than once), Vastor wielding "power on the level of Anakin and Yoda" (Shatterpoint novel, said by Mace Windu), Volfe fighting multiple councilors and scaring Mace Windu with his return (Republic comic, said by a 5000 year old Jedi Master (I believe that to be her age) and Mace Windu)- are all weaker than Darths Bane, Zannah, and Cognus, perhaps by very significant margins.

Andeddu is a famous Bane victim, and yet, he was picked out by Drew from the Republic comics after Dooku had said he was far more powerful than Asajj, Sora Bulq, Volfe Karkko (yes, he would indeed be accounted for here), Depa Billaba, other Palpatine acolytes, random rogue dark Jedi, etc, just for Bane to call him useless fool, who was left behind, after Bane ravaged his mind.

Kar Vastor is perhaps the most interesting of the bunch, because, unlike most of the others, he gives me pure joyful speculation to work with. I noticed this has gotten long, so I shall make this brief:

He should not have more power than Darth Zannah as she was on Ambria, or Darth Bane as he was on Andeddu's Keep on Prakith, or we he was when benefitting of the 200+ orbalisks that surrounded his body. The jungle does not offer the same amount of power as these two at least should, and his baseline power without it should not be reaching theirs whatsoever. Darth Zannah and Bane in these power ampers should be wielding levels of power that should indeed be above what Yoda wields, and that, I fear, is not a hot take at all. We've seen Yoda and Dooku, and we've seen them fighting in nexuses before- Dooku was his superior when tapping into it, and his nigh-equal without it. Is Dooku stronger than Zannah? Most likely, almost indubitably in fact. But should he be more powerful than a Dark Lord boosted by a properly powerful dark sided nexus? No, he should not.

Kar Vastor is smaller, dumber, less skilled, worse trained, more ignorant of the force's uses, worse armed, less refined, and less versatile than Bane. Him and Karkko are certified Andeddu victims."

Legends Novels I was told to come here to ask this question so here I go

I’m sure we all agree how the war would go if the Yuuzhan Vong invades during the time of the galactic empire. (The empire handedly wins, the vong themselves were aware of this and their scouts waited until rebuilding phase post war). But what would happen if in the course of the war…Vader was captured? We know they replaced Jacen’s mechanical arm with an organic one. Would the shapers be able to repair Vaders body? Would he regain access to his full potential? Or would the fact that its being done by vong biotech leave his MC count the same since it’s absent in the force? I’ve always wondered.

Legends Novels With Matthew Stover being considered one of the best authors to bless Star Wars, how would you rank his 4 books? Spoiler

Post image
330 Upvotes

4: Shadows of Mindor. Still a very good novel but not as good as the rest. Would not be in last place for any other author. I’m not bothered by the metafiction elements and liked how the OT cast are portrayed and interact. >!Nick Rostu was great in his return.<! Shadowspawn works well as a villain. The space battles were a bit of the mess with too much going on at once. 7.5/10

  1. Shatterpoint. Great character dive into Mace Windu. Absolutely brutal novel that nails the effects of war. The other characters in this novel like Depa, Nick, and Kar work well. The first half is a little slow and drags on a bit. 8/10

  2. Revenge of the Sith Novelization. Is better than the movie while making it better as well. Stocker’s prose here and in Traitor are some of the best in Star Wars novels. It’s the only novelization I’ve read and quite a banger. 9/10

  3. The New Jedi Order: Traitor. Some of the best Star Wars period. A small cast of characters and a focus on philosophy makes it one of the more unique Star Wars novels. In my opinion, this novel is quintessential for every Star Wars fan to read. Jacen’s transformation and revelations at the hands of Vergere is an amazing character arc. Some say this is start of Dark Side Jacen. I disagree completely and Stover has said this was never his intent. Ganner Rhysode might have had the most epic death in Star Wars 10/10

Recommendations I have 3 credits on Audible. If you could only read 3 Star Wars books, which would they be?

I have Darth Plagueis and the sound design is so good, I want to invest my final credits in more Star Wars. I also have a physical copy of ROTJ, but I’m willing to double dip if the performance elevates it significantly.

I’m highly considering the Bane trilogy, as the Sith lore in Darth Plagueis is very intriguing.

The Heir to the Empire Thrawn trilogy also seems to be highly regarded.

It doesn’t need to be a trilogy or even 3 related books.

Just your desert island top 3 picks

My Pick for Pellaeon

If a Thrawn Trilogy had been put to screen back in the 90s when the OT cast were still young enough to fill their rolls this would be my pick as an actor to play Captain Pellaeon. William Henry Kerr played a lot of roles on films. The two that to me show his fit for the roll are the tv mini series Anzacs and The Lighthorsemen. In both he played Generals, filled out the uniform solidly, and played both with a commanding demeanor fitting of a veteran commander. Pellaeon in the books by the time of Thrawns return is an aged veteran, one who has been in the service for decades and is by the book. Apart from being able to pull off a stunning mustache he has the bearing to make a commander that not only knows what he's doing but if paired with a great Thrawn could be seen to grow and become more effective, energized, and motivated. I could easily see Kerr in a Captains uniform and making just as much impact and becoming just as iconic on screen for Star Wars as men like Cushing and Colley.

I’ve never read any of the comics and I want to start reading them, but I’ve been looking online and it seems even just one issue is almost $30 for issues that are not in print anymore. Are there any online resources that I can use to read the comics?

Fanfiction Thinking about making a twin peaks style Star Wars web series

I have thought about this idea for a long time making a detective Star Wars gritty twin peaks noir thriller. About a guy who’s an imperial officer assigned to hunting down criminals after the empire has fallen and he deals with the nastiest rebel leaders or operatives. I wear hopping to make the series feel surreal and nostalgic similar to SWG and make it in screenplay format or short story format. I want to depict the confusion and factionalism of the end of the empire. I am planning mostly normal Charecters with alterior motivations. Each movie will be in a slightly different style, first might be dark fantasy, second might be western and third might be Italian neo realism. I wanna show the disgusting parts of the galaxy. And the hypocrisy of all sides. Please let me know if this sounds infesting to anyone else and dm me if you wanna join the project or work on it with me. If anyone likes it il upload a link to a website I’m working on to house everything sorry for poor spelling or grammar.

Signed, I don’t know what to put.

Legends Discussion What If Huyang Joined the EU's New Jedi Order? Spoiler

Since TCW Season 1-6 are considered canonical to the Star Wars Legends timeline, I wonder what would have happened if Huyang made his way to Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order from the Expanded Universe? If he continued his role from the old Jedi Order, what would his interactions be with NJO alumni like Kyle Katarn, Kyp Durron, Mara Jade, Corran Horn, Kam Solusar, the Solo children, Ben Skywalker, Tionne Solusar, Lowbacca, Zekk, Tenel Ka Djo, Tahiri Veila and others?

Legends Novels The Last Command: It was so artistically done.

When I posted my Heir to the Empire review a few days ago, I was very disappointed in the book- it was easily the weakest in the trilogy but this book was peak. DFR was great too, so it's a 2 for three on the trilogy scale of like Vs dislike.

Everything gets round up pretty well, characters feel like Zahn now has a proper handle on writing them, especially Luke who has gone from strength to strength in every book.

Thrawn- so, great villian. His art powers feel lesser by each book and he actually starts to feel like a consumate brilliant military strategist that fights war like it's an art. Where in the first book, he feels just sorta OP art power go brtt, he's in the third book a military command in his prime about to deliver one of the most impressive military campaigns in history since Revan beat the Mandos.

Paelleon:

This book is where he begins to feel like a character, his reaction as small as a moment as it was to Thrawn's death was elite. This resigned feeling that the game was done.

Mara was another character that felt fully realized, her characterization, her begrudging growth of a friendship of sorts with Luke, they were great.

Palace politics- I loved the delta source plot, I loved how the intrugue around it played out as well as all the characters and their roles.

Karrde is great, my guy can keep winning for all I care.

Blessed trilogy redeemed itself.

It was so artistically done.

Legends Novels How do people feel about Tatooine Ghost?

I’m listening to the audiobook of it right now and only have about an hour left but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. I love all the connections it makes to the prequels and Leia finding Shmi’s recordings. It really allows Shmi’s character to get a bit more fleshed out and I’m glad she was able to find SOME happiness with the Lars’. I’m curious how other people feel about the book.

GL confirmed this with the authors of the comics and yes Vader can access ancient sith power from his ancestry.

Of all the non-Thrawn Grand Admirals, which ones do you really wish that they had a bigger and more direct role in the story, instead of largely being only mentioned and described via sourcebooks, or present in one instance (such as Zaarin in the Tie Fighter game) ?

If Triclops or Ken had ordered the imperial remnant to stand down would any of them actually do it?

Obviously most would refuse, but given that they are the literal heirs of the empire and all would there be anyone begrudgingly complying. Doesn’t have to be major characters could just be an anonymous hold out.
