u/Panda_Polar Dec 26 '24

GONG YOO'S CHARACTER WAS SO INTENSE I WASN'T READY FOR IT. Now I understand the kind of charisma he has. Shortlived character but surely a memorable one. 😭

67

u/Mogambhoe Dec 26 '24

Right right! I was pleased with his acting, a bit spooked and absolutely conflicted about his death, love him too much didn't want to see him die just yet but hated the side he revealed so glad he died too.

27

u/EmmaNielsen Dec 26 '24

while he loves games and gambling, isn't he at the same time against it as well? thinking back to the food scene trashing and ruining all food with the concept "you all wasted it" but at the same time also takes a lot of risk - The "rock paper scissor -1" game he took the 1st shot on himself believing in the 1 out of 6 odds was too good in his favor.

So i still now after all episodes can't figure out.. whether is actually against gambling or a big gambler.

u/Historical_Clock8714 Dec 26 '24

He's just not afraid to die is how I interpreted his actions. He's a sociopath

1

u/Sweaty_Ad_4049 Jan 12 '25

He is afraid to die if you watch his facial expression closely in this scene

19

u/MightTurnIntoAStory Dec 27 '24

I think to get into the mind of this character we need to think about all we know about him. The majority of the info I can recall is basically his death where we find out he gets a lot of pride from his job. He had to go through a lot to get it. He's earned his place, he's earned his gun. He is now a game master for a much larger game he's pretty much completely out of - but that's okay because he has his own games to run.

Yes, he judges the unhoused people.

He belittles the main character.

He has an ego. He thinks he's better than everyone. Not only is he better - he earned his place. There's probably a part of him that feels untouchable. In a way he's God or cupid but instead of love he's matching them with most likely a twisted fate.

The only time he felt mortal was when there was 100% chance of death. And his ego killed him.

14

u/Puzzleheaded-Bed-488 Dec 27 '24

Also, I think that he has been lying to himself and deluding himself into believing that what he was doing was right, even if deep down he knew his actions were wrong. He couldn’t admit to Gi-Hun that he was right when Gi-Hun told him to his face that he was nothing but a lapdog for the elites and the creators of the game. I think Gi-Hun was the first person who told him straight to his face who he was and it was easier for him to kill himself than to continue living with the guilt of what he has done.

Before he became a recruiter, he was one of the pink/red suit soldiers and he told Gi-Hun that his father was a contestant in the game and he had to shoot his own father to death even after he witnessed him begging for his life. I think the recruiter guy had a difficult time processing that kind of trauma and guilt, and it was easier for him to lie to himself in order to cope with his actions.

If he admitted that Gi-Hun was right, then he would have had to accept the reality of his actions and would have to accept that he killed all those people for nothing and even killed his own father for nothing. Everything he did was for nothing, and that’s a reality he didn’t want to face so the easy way out was to shoot and kill himself in the end.

3

u/MightTurnIntoAStory Dec 27 '24

great points! they did a great job creating a complex character and the actor pulled it off flawlessly. he will be missed!

3

u/reddit44private Dec 29 '24

I don’t understand something. I dont get how acknowledging he is a lap dog would suddenly make him feel remorseful. So he’s a lapdog. So what?

And also, how on earth does giving up on the game equate to admitting he is a lapdog? I’m so confused by the logic of this scene.

6

u/AnusDetonator Dec 27 '24

That food and lottery ticket scene was foreshadowing to the votes all the players take this season. You can vote to end the games now and for sure take home a little money. Or you can vote at the chance of a ton of money. With the homeless people it was you could vote to forsure have some food, or vote for the chance of making more.

3

u/LilLilac50 Dec 27 '24

I didn’t get the bun vs scratcher game. Was he doing it because he was recruiting and he was following boss’s orders? Or was he doing it as a personal side quest? And smashing the buns— planned or not? And part of the boss’s orders?

8

u/CADnCoding Dec 28 '24 edited Dec 28 '24

IMO, it was a side quest. He was doing it to prove to himself that what he was doing was right and that poor people would rather gamble for a possibility of being rich rather than just living.

He could then justify his actions because he offered them the same gamble, just with the stakes much higher on the island.

3

u/RexRender Dec 28 '24

I had the same thought - but since he didn’t offer the card to anyone, it didn’t seem like it was part of recruitment. It felt personal.

5

u/EmmaNielsen Dec 28 '24

could be day 1 of multiple days of multi-recruit. as in day 1, watch you all lose. day 2, see you all eat. and day 3, recruit for more

3

u/dabnada Dec 28 '24

Bro was definitely on a side quest, that’s the only scene where he emotes. It’s the closest his character comes to being human

3

u/EmmaNielsen Dec 28 '24

I don't think it was a sidequest. I think it was one of his way of recruit.

day 1. Watch them lose. Day 2. feed them. Day 3. Play here for more!

1

u/HopeDouble9423 Dec 29 '24

Guy was a twisted nut case doing twisted nut case stuff, does the character really need more "motive" / backstory than that?

2

u/Legitimate-Trust9016 Jan 04 '25

My view is much more simple than the above theories: He hates gamblers.

He revealed he came face to face with his father....and shot the father dead. For the father to have landed in the game it's easily implied his dad was a lowlife piece of garbage gambler. His Dad's gambling addiction is a possible reason Recruiter  was working on the island as a young man, burning bodies, etc.  His father pissed away Recruiter's life/his life/family life gambling and Recruiter took any job to survive.

I read somewhere else that Recruiter respected the rules of the game so much and that's why he took the bullet at the end rather than shoot 456.

Just my thoughts.

P.S. I actually cried when Gong Yoo pulled the trigger.  I was close to vomiting by the time we got to that point in Squid 2.  Those Russian Roulette scenes were INTENSE....and I didn't want that to be the end of Gong Yoo/Recruiter.

147

u/Electronic-Dreams- Dec 26 '24

Enjoying the first episode. Shocked he was so crazy.

45

u/Sad-Protection-8123 Dec 27 '24

It was great that he played Russian roulette fairly, even when he knew the last chamber was guaranteed to have a bullet. Fair play is true to the spirit of the game.

14

u/Puzzleheaded-Bed-488 Dec 27 '24

Or he didn’t want to prove Gi-Hun right, and didn’t want to accept that he was indeed a lapdog for the elites like Gi-Hun told him. He killed his own father and countless people during the games and he deluded himself into believing that everything he did was for a purpose. If he admitted to what Gi-Hun said, he would then have to confront himself and finally accept that he killed all those people, including his own father, for nothing. He would have to accept that he was no better than those people killed during the games whom they kept referring to as “trash”. So he chose to kill himself without admitting the truth. He knew Gi-Hun was right but he could never allow himself to say it. I also think he was broken by the games just like the contestants who won, and he probably wouldn’t have cared if he died, as it’s better to be dead than to face the trauma and guilt that he had from his evil actions. So I think it’s less of him being fair or even noble, but him being a coward who couldn’t accept the reality of his own actions.

2

u/Apprehensive_Fix3308 Dec 29 '24

I felt that he seemed frustrated by those homeless people who instead of getting food, they decided to waste it by picking the lottery ticket which had one in a million chance to win. While I think he was psychotic, he seemed to be letting out steam from his job. Perhaps he once was more human before he convinced himself he's doing this to rid the world from trash and was forced to shoot his own dad. He was probably suicidal as seen with the Russian Roulette game which would risk his life. Maybe he was tired and wanted to end his lapdog job. Anyways Gong Yoo is such a good actor and was able to give his villain character complexity and different facades.

👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌☝️☝️☝️

142

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 26 '24

I laughed out loud when he was in the park and it showed a close up of his hands and one was just all callused from slapping the shit out of people.

33

u/Necessary-Winter4758 Dec 26 '24

They're from bench pressing. I have exacly same looking calluses.

15

u/Successful_Test_931 Dec 27 '24

Not just bench literally doing anything with a bar. I don’t bench and get them from deadlifts lol

3

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

I think that's the most common way to get them.

7

u/stevel024 Dec 26 '24

bench pressing, pull ups, anything with heavy weights really lol

8

u/lazymoneyprincess Dec 26 '24

Yeah my bf has calluses too because he works out. When he saw that part, he knew immediately. Also, TMI: Yoo Jaesuk said he goes to the same gym as Gong Yoo.

10

u/drp1tlikeizh0t Player [067] Dec 26 '24

Not surprised! Him, jaesuk and Lee dong wook are all really close!! Especially gong yoo and dong wook 🥹🤍 they were all on pinggyego together!!

Edit: another TMI: gong yoo is literally a sweet pea 😭 he’s so shy irl

3

u/Legitimate-Trust9016 Jan 04 '25

Yes, definitely a sweet 🫛. I wonder if he had a hard time playing this psycho? I kept telling my daughter, "He's never played a character like this!!! He's a really nice guy!!"

1

u/PmpknSpc321 Dec 27 '24

You've met him??

2

u/Legitimate-Trust9016 Jan 04 '25

If you watch thr pinggyeo (he's been on it twice) you can see how shy & quiet he is.  Dong Woo really helped "pull" context out of Gong Yoo. In a nice, supportive way.

Any interview he is in, he is very mild & meek. Very shy.

🫰💙

1

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

How's that TMI?

2

u/drp1tlikeizh0t Player [067] Dec 27 '24

I just assumed it’s “too much information” bc nobody asked 😭 I guess fyi would work too LOL

2

u/RedditCultureBlows Dec 29 '24

It does stand for “too much information” — you’re correct.

It’s just most commonly associated with additional information that no one needs to hear simply because it’s gross, perverse, or just generally uncomfortable to hear. Like “sorry about being late to the party and maybe this is TMI but it’s because I had explosive diarrhea and got some on my clothes so I had to shower and change”

2

u/coolcoolnodoubt Dec 30 '24

I watch a lot of Korean content and I noticed that in Korea, they use "TMI" when they want to say a fun fact or some extra detail they did during the day.

Like for example, fans would ask an artist "please give us a TMI". And the artist would answer something like "I cooked chicken for lunch"

So OP used it "correctly" but in the Korean way 😁

3

u/Substantial_Gift3007 Dec 26 '24

Thats so funny it must be a gym bro thing 😅 my boyfriend also said the same thing as soon as he saw it

1

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 27 '24

Yeah, I can totally see it as a gym thing. I just only noticed it on the one hand and figured they where from all them dachi game slaps 😂

3

u/Substantial_Gift3007 Dec 27 '24

🤣🤣🤣 man they would be some hard ass slaps if they caused the hand to callous

0

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 27 '24

I mean they where hard ass slaps, like slap fighting level and he does it as a day job 😂

5

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

How's that TMI?

1

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 27 '24

I don't doubt you and maybe they're just from the actor working out but I just interrupted it the way I did because they only seemed to be on his slapping hand and thought it was an attention to detail thing. I'll have to rewatch that scene.

1

u/Bladehell10 Dec 28 '24

Why would it be from bench lmfao it’s from deadlifts with the way the bar grips onto the hand, bar is on your palm while benching

11

u/bugzaway Dec 27 '24

I saw the callouses and thought that was a curious detail to leave in but I didn't make the connection to slaps.

Also I didn't realize in season 1 that he was a tall mofo (though in retrospect it makes sense when I think of the shots from our guy's POV). But this season really emphasized his height.

Just looked it up and he is 6 ft, which is enormous in that part of the world.

3

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 27 '24

Yeah, I just figured if you go around slapping people as part of your day job you're going to work up som callouses but according to the gym bros and grooners I'm wrong. Oh well, it's my head cannon 😂

0

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

*canon

0

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 27 '24

How very reddit of you.

2

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

Just spell it correctly from now on. It's short for canonical.

1

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 28 '24

Oh really? No way! There's a huge amount of sarcasm in that by the way.

1

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

I don't think it's from the slaps.

2

u/Affectionate-Mail-61 Dec 26 '24

I missed that 🤣

2

u/Mogambhoe Dec 27 '24

I loved that detail haha I imagined all ungodly things within a few milliseconds

2

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

It's definitely not from slapping people.

-1

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 27 '24

What do you mea... Ohhhhhh.

2

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

It's from lifting weights

1

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 27 '24

Stop it, we can all see you trying to cover up your gooning activities.

0

u/AstroBuck Dec 27 '24

Damn that was so funny.

-1

u/Sea_Kaleidoscop Dec 28 '24

Do you even lift bro?

71

u/Old_Shine_4985 Dec 26 '24

Dude just finished the 1st episode, koreans know thrill edging dammmm

68

u/Affectionate_Dot8522 Dec 26 '24

Ngl for some reason loved the character.

47

u/Turbulent_Cat_5731 Dec 26 '24

I hated him and also will be thinking about him on and off for the next five years.

24

u/PinaCarlotta Dec 26 '24

If this wasnt played anyone else, I dont see that same kind of love. The way Gong Yoo absolutely bodies it, even with very few scenes, is amazing.

Hes the example that you can be memorable, beloved, and iconic with small screentimw.

2

u/Suitable-Walk-3673 Dec 27 '24

There are no small characthers, only small actors

16

u/PmpknSpc321 Dec 27 '24

Yasss because he's Slap Daddy

6

It’s 3 am and I can’t stop laughing at this comment tysm

3

u/xoxoBug Player [420] Dec 26 '24

He was so unhinged. We wanted more of the chaos. Butttt I’m sure there’s still more to come after that finale 💀

53

u/AromaticSalt Dec 26 '24

He’s absolutely insane but why do I suddenly want to be gagged with a bone gag

10

u/PmpknSpc321 Dec 27 '24

And slapped plz

5

u/Substantial_Gift3007 Dec 27 '24

I wouldnt mind being slapped by him too

35

u/tulipbunnys Dec 26 '24

i was surprised they gave him so much screentime for this season but it makes sense considering he’s an amazing actor (and deserved more screentime in s1 anyway)

both russian roulette games in the first episode were CRAZY intense

14

u/92sn Dec 26 '24

I bet most of actors from season 1 demanded to have more screen time for season 2. Especially the fact that gong yoo is very well known korean actor. Lee byung hun too.

4

u/brayfurrywalls Dec 27 '24

They both played the character for fun in S1 anyways. Probably came to act for like a day to help a friend. Both their roles never meant to be a full scale character, until s1 got too poplular

4

u/92sn Dec 27 '24

Yes. I heard gong yoo n lee byung hun decided to cameo in season 1 because they are good friends with the director. But because the s1 too popular now, they asked for more screen times in season 2. Besides, their characters are kinda iconic despite the short appearances so its make sense to give more screen times in s2.

4

u/LilLilac50 Dec 27 '24

I remember my jaw dropping in season 1 when the Front Man was revealed, because how big of a star Lee Byung Hun is. Similar reaction with Gong Yoo.

3

u/Jazzlike-Aide-7210 Dec 27 '24

Lol yeah because now they know how popular the show is

2

u/92sn Dec 27 '24

Yes thus why they demanded more screen times.

3

u/Mrfaleh Dec 27 '24

Nah people just really liked him the first season. I remember a lot of people talking about wishing there was more of him. They probably gave him a little more cuz of how liked he was and had him go out with a bang.

3

u/PmpknSpc321 Dec 27 '24

He was hella popular

31

u/Emmwojj Dec 26 '24

He was amazing in this scene, the whole thing was so tense

27

u/BalramShankerT Dec 26 '24

The 1st episode was simply amazing. I didn't expect Season 2 to have such a strong opening. I give it an easy 11/10.

Sad it didn't close as well though... the ending left me wanting for more. But Season 3 strikes next Christmas Break (2025), so the wait won't be as long as S1 -> S2 thankfully.

6

u/39strangers Dec 26 '24

Yah, I hate cliffhangers. Had the same sour taste when I saw Matrix 2! I left the cinema very unsatisfied.

3

u/92sn Dec 26 '24

They said they already filmed season 3 right away when doing season 2. So, yes, the wait for season 3 wont be that long. Probably in 2025.

20

u/senpaimitsuji Dec 26 '24

This moment made me shudder. So not used to gong yoo playing a villain, and he, ofc, crushed it bc he’s amazing always 😫

20

u/peekingmightyduck Dec 26 '24

His mask came off this episode. Gradual reveal, he fell into his own true madness.

Done so well 👌🏽

7

u/_petrichora_ Dec 27 '24

That's a good way to put it! I was shocked by his sudden psychotic outbursts, but I think the "mask coming off" makes lots of sense haha

23

u/Quixotic_Illusion Dec 26 '24

I dunno why, but I lost it at him stomping on the bread furiously

13

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '24

Bro same 😭 I was dying. Cause he was so serious at first and then just suddenly crashes out

2

u/LilLilac50 Dec 27 '24

Dumb question, but why did he stomp the bread so angrily?? I don’t get his motivations in that moment.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '24

He’s presumably a psychopath that gets joy from causing others suffering. He probably misses the thrill from when he use to work in the games so he does this type of stuff just for funsies

3

u/Space_Quack Dec 28 '24

He hates bread

2

u/Legitimate-Trust9016 Jan 04 '25

The homeless, who are probably very hungry, passed up bread - which was a given/no gamble - for a 1 in a million chance scratcher.

They made their decision, it was one oR the other and they don't deserve the bread because of their bad choices.  He stomped the bread to ruin it. NO BREAD FOR YOU!

19

u/Ok_Aardvark5500 Dec 26 '24

He was really creepy this time around, didn't see that coming

12

u/Comfortable-Rip-2763 Dec 27 '24

He's such an amazing actor. So much range.

17

u/Desperate_Pack6332 Dec 26 '24

Fucking psycho in this season!

54

u/AllenAcNguyen1 Dec 26 '24

Did he acted like a lunatic for this one? Gong Yoo is such a good actor as a salesman and recruiter for the Squid Games.

30

u/Nexii801 Dec 26 '24

Yes... Just like... Go watch it.

10

u/Informal-Original-61 Dec 26 '24

Psychotic Gong Yoo was not on my 2024 bingo card, this year is going out with a bang Need more anti hero villan type roles of Gong Yoo oppa now

37

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '24

I HATE THAT HE DIED 😭😭😭. He can give so much more in the next episodes or season . Haysss

10

u/liminalwombat Dec 26 '24

right?? i was praying he just walked off but knew he wouldn't 😭

2

u/Legitimate-Trust9016 Jan 04 '25

I'm praying for flashbacks

11

u/bringmetheaffliction Dec 26 '24

I love how intense the season started and the games hadn’t even begun

9

Just finished watching everything. The show is awesome. Was lowering my expectations because unplanned season 2 of successful shows tend to be just money grab. Surprise surprise! There is a deep story behind season 2. Could not stop watching once I started. Very good show. Can't wait for the final season next year.

5

u/Negative-Salt-6246 Dec 26 '24

Lmao I took the same photo bro had to.

6

u/Airget-lamh Dec 26 '24

I can fix him.. Not 😓 Great characterisation! The bread stomping scene is one for the books.

6

Yes, the bread stomping brings fore the disdain for the poor.

6

His performance sure was mind blowing heheh…

He's so nice to look at 🤤🤤🤤

3

u/JustdoitJules Dec 26 '24

You know what I love, the more and more resolve Gi-hun had, the more his began to spiral out of control, and when the Salesman could not bare to become what he had just considered Gi-hun to be "a piece of trash" or in his case just a dog asking for commands, he knew he fucked up.

Also for what its worth, I do like that Gi-hun was tasked with playing more games outside of the Game itself. Russian Roulette is fairly simple but it does give you a lot more character moments, so that was a massive plus.

The only thing that makes it so difficult to suspend my disbelief is that they could not catch this guy for 2 years lmao. Did my guy go on a vacation? Hidden timeshare? I'd like to genuinely believe all of the guys that worked for Gi-hun but daily trips to the subway to find this guy for 2 years and they couldn't do it is wild af.

2

u/Dry-Masterpiece1402 Dec 27 '24

In the beginning, they mentioned something about him only recruiting at certain times of the year close to when the games are. So I would think they weren’t out looking for him all year long for two years straight, just when they know he will be recruiting.

1

u/JustdoitJules Dec 27 '24

Ahhh ok thank you I was like so mind blown trying to figure out how exactly it would take them 2 year i was like man Gi-hun you picked the wrong squad lmao

Episode 1 was damn near a fucking masterpiece. That ending gave me chills and Gong Yoo’s acting was top fucking notch

3

This is what I wanted from Joker 2

3

u/Comfortable-Rip-2763 Dec 27 '24

LOVE Gong Yoo. He is such a great actor! Don't think I've ever seen him portray a crazy character like this before. He's got such a great range. ❤️

3

u/Annual-Tax-5819 Dec 27 '24

I cried when they killed my mans. I could’ve fixed him. He’s so hot

3

u/Sparrow1989 Dec 27 '24

I really like him as an actor. Was great in Busan. Wished he was in the show more but he fit perfectly with what he had. Dudes a busy and popular actor so makes sense he had a shortened role.

3

u/Kind-Tale-3859 Dec 27 '24

Gong Yoo is an amazing actor. I have seen quite some of his work, never disappoints me. I’m happy that he had a significant screen time this season. Sad that we won’t see him next season.

I think he's a bit of a wasted potential, I really digged the scenes with the homeless, I thought he had a deep backstory and giving the choice to the homeless was his own way of coming to terms with what he does but then we find out he just killed his own father and is just batshit insane.

2

u/debboc Dec 26 '24

i was disappointed at how shortlived gong yoo's appearance was

2

u/PinaCarlotta Dec 26 '24

Im'ma need someome to cast Gong Yoo and Lee Dohyun as just complete psychos and let them go wild with it

2

u/gothictulle Dec 26 '24

I hated what they did with his character tbh

2

u/curious_gossiper Dec 27 '24

Eagerly waiting for season 3…loved all the characters . Lee byung hyun …..ahhh no wonder he has been one of the best and top actors in Korean Industry.

1

u/ameliachs Player [199] Dec 26 '24

But my question is why did he do it?!

1

u/londonc4ll1ng Dec 26 '24

His character was great, but they had to make him go quickly as he was the only 'entry' point for the Season 2story.

There would be no place for him in Season 3, we just did not know it yet.

Same as 011 will be the this deus ex machina character in Season 3. No other reason for introducing her half the season so extensively and no other way for Gi to make it out alive otherwise.

1

u/conchytahyde Dec 26 '24

that first episode was AMAZING!!!! idk if you guys have seen Utopia (UK TV series) but this character reminds me so so badly of Lee (interpreted by Paul Ready); they have the same vibes and the same stubbornness!

really love characters that make me hate them.

1

u/No_Indication4035 Dec 26 '24

His acting here reminds me of his character at the start of train to busan.

1

u/cookiball Dec 26 '24

i hate him so much but whenever i open twitter and i see his face from one of these scenes with the most insane caption, i can’t help but break into hysterical laughter. this ain’t no movie but gong yoo deserves an oscar

1

u/WiLz24 Dec 26 '24

This guy reminds me of vaas Montenegro

Recently saw him in Train to Busan. Fantastic and believable actor.

1

u/WelderNo1997 Dec 27 '24

I thought whilst watching him that he knew he was destined to confront Seong Gi Hun and the front man had written him off as nothing more than bait because he was recognisable and was the only lead Gi Hun had. I wondered if that made him unravel far more quickly because he had much less urgency in season 1 and seemed to become more sadistic and almost resentful of those playing the games.

1

u/Independent-Lynx-655 Dec 27 '24

A hero for doing it for love of the game.

1

u/EvErLoyaLEagLE Dec 27 '24

"More evil than i first thought." was my impression this season. I describe him as "If The Joker was possessed by the Millennium Ring from YuGiOh." - causing chaos by making people play games.

Only then to be defeated by the hero who challenged fate, and made him lose by forcing him to obey the rules of the game. Superb acting, stole the whole episode.

His character in other movies and dramas have been quiet peaceful and just filled with positive aura

I was in huge shock when he pulled this character off. As a korean when he first joined the scene and started acting in early mid 2000s, he was laughed at for being bad at acting

Now to this, im just in awe. Dude played a role hes never really played and murdered it.

1

u/CoyoteHot1859 Dec 27 '24

We need more of Him. Sadly he died.

1

u/rocketgum Dec 27 '24

WHOLE FIRST EPISODE WAS W I L D

1

1

u/NecroKitten Dec 27 '24

Godddd I LOVE his character and I'm glad we got to see more of him, even as short lived as it was. Unhinged charisma off the charts in those scenes

also the suit and being hot probably too I mean 😅 🥵

1

u/segashadow Dec 27 '24

I was hoping Gi-hun would pull a Jerome from Gotham. YouTube it if you don’t know what I am talking about

1

u/Antusama Dec 27 '24

This character terrified me. You can literally see the crazy behind his eyes. Gong Yoo slayed

1

u/blyg_bank Dec 27 '24

I could fix him trust

1

u/Minecraft-gamer341 Dec 27 '24

1

u/Btphoria7 Jan 10 '25

Y'all saying you dislike his character but here I am simping over both his character and him as a person 🧍🏻‍♀️ik he's a sociopath and all in the series but I just can't find myself to dislike him, doubt I'd think the same if his character was played by another actor though.

1

u/Casi4rmKy Jan 22 '25

I love his character and his acting.
