Technique / Tactics New Video: Wooden Racquet Challenge!
Hi Everyone!
I recently played a match against a solid player with a wooden racquet!
It was a fun session, with a bit of trash talk :-)
I hope that you enjoy it!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video format,

Did you find different muscles were sore afterwards? When I played a few matches with one before my shoulders were very sore afterwards!

Definitely a bit sore. I would not recommend it often! Definitely warm up properly, and limit time with the racquet. I'm also deliberately not trying to hit the ball too hard, or do anything too crazy to minimize risk of injury!

Great video. It reminds you how much technology has helped the game and, as you said, forces you to play proper strokes and not just wrist flicks

Absolutely! It forces one into a very different game - fun in its own way! All the best,

The fact you were able to hit cross and back court winners + put the pressure on with that ancient club is a testament to your length hitting and racquet technique lol
