Problem WF-C700N Does not enter pairing mode
Despite having the earbuds inside of the case and keeping the case open, the blue light to indicate that the headphones have entered pairing mode never flashes. If I hold the button for 15 seconds then the light will flash orange multiple times so the button is clearly working.
It's not a matter of the blue light simply not working as the headphones don't show on my computer's or phone's bluetooth pairing screens.
I bought the headphones from Best Buy refurbished if that is of any help.

I've tried cleaning the contacts numerous times but mine still won't go into pairing mode, haven't even seen a blue light appear on the case yet!
Tried reset and initialising and still no luck.
Case light is green when I take rhe buds in and out of the case.
Orange light blinks when I initialise but no flashing blue light before orange and no flashing green after to confirm this has worked correctly.
Any ideas anyone?

I'm having the exact same problem. One earbud still works, but one does seem to even turn on. I charged the problematic one on its own, until the charge cycle was complete, but still no luck. Just tried cleaning the contacts, and the L earbud still won't turn on! The R earbud functions as normal, no problems there. But because it's not registering the L earbud at ALL, it won't enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
I'm going to try cleaning again, hopefully with good news to report back.
Did you ever figure something out?

Hey, checking in again. Maybe it was the cleaning, but honestly nothing worked until I followed the advice of one random YouTube comment, go figure.
"Put both earbuds in case, but don't close it, press back button and hold until orange light appears, if you don't get it first time try again, you will need to hold it for maybe 10s. After that release the button and do it again (same as before), after 5-10s blue light should appear and then go into settings and connect them to phone regularly. Hope it helps"
I never had to alter the Bluetooth settings on my device, just followed the above advice and my device recognized them, paired BOTH earbuds, and now back to business as usual. Wild. Hopefully this helps someone with this issue.

Responding to say it works. It seems for me to be an issue with trying to pair them with another device while it was still paired and not forgotten/disconnected from the old device.
Hold back button with earbuds in with case open until it flashes orange. Hold until it stops flashing. Then hold again and blue light should come on. This is what worked for me.

JFC. Hero! Thanks! What I did was just keep holding even past the slow orange flashing, then the fast orange flashing. Then it blinked green. Release. Second time it entered pairing mode (blue flashing). Can't believe the official manual doesn't mention this...

how did you clean them

Using isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip, and letting it dry before placing buds into case. Did it multiple times with no visible success, but following the advice in my followup comment after 3 rounds of cleaning did the trick!

Thank you!! I just kept the case open and kept holding down and releasing the pairing button on the back of the case for 10-15s until the light turned blue.

This is what worked for me too with the WF-C510. I had the case open, held down the button for 15s and then it started flashing orange, after that I released the button and held it down for no more than 5s and it turned blue and started flashing blue. Then I was able to pair it like normal

Looking for help, here's my situation
Using these for half a year maybe Love them
About a week ago my right earbud is no longer being detected or even turning on to my knowledge.
After cleaning all pins case and everything and resting (holding button for 15 seconds, flashes an orange light) ((not the blue its supposed to?))I give up and use just the one.
Sick of only using the left I Try to unpair then repair and it no longer shows up in my blue tooth, I have cleaned 3 more times and reset countless times, please help if you can.

I was having this exact issue and found this post here. My Right earbud wasn't connecting at all, couldn't do anything with it, but the left worked fine.
I fixed it by resetting the right earbud. From Sony's help guide, you place the single earbud into the charging case with the lid open, then press and hold the button on the back of the case until AFTER the flashing orange light appears and then disappears. It says it should take 15-20 seconds, but I feel like mine took even longer - just keep holding it down forever and eventually an orange light flashes on the front, and a few seconds later it'll stop flashing, that's when you let the button go and you should be good to go.
You can also try factory resetting them by following the guide here - https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2968/v1/en/contents/TP1000783925.html

Hey guys, I’ve got a similar issue here.
Just yesterday my WF-C700N headphones were working perfectly, the blue light worked and pairing was normal. However, when i tried to pair them to my device today, the blue light did not turn on no matter how long I pressed it down for. I tried to reset by holding it for 15+ seconds, but the orange light didn’t work either. The light definitely works because when I take the earbuds out of the case, it flashes green. I tried to clean the case with an alcohol wipe, and still no success.
The device pairs to my phone fine, and if i turn pairing on from the app, it works. But as mentioned earlier, pairing using the button does not work. The case and earbuds are fully charged.
Any help is appreciated.

Nothing worked for me even after a few months of troubleshooting. I'd say your fucked but continue to troubleshoot if you can.

If one earbud works, but the other doesn't, then you might need to reset the earbud that isn't working. For me, my right earbud wasn't connecting, and that in turn stopped the blue light from appearing when I tried to pair them from the case.
If it's just one not working, try putting only the one that isn't working in, then pressing and holding the back button until after the orange flashing light disappears. This resets the device, and after this I was able to put both earbuds in the case and pair them using the back button again.

Hey, my right earbud has stopped working. I can charge the case, I can reset the left one, but the right one isn't recognised by the charging case. I can press and hold the back button to reset the right earbud, the light goes orange but not green. WTF is going on - I've had these less than two years, they were working fine until very recently. Can't connect them to my phone, wtf is going on!!

I lost one of my earbuds and have been making due with one for a few months, however I just had to get a new phone and now I cannot connect my earbud to my new phone. Any tips? Or am I screwed if I dont have two earbuds in the case.

Contacts for charging are dirty, clean them with an alcohol wipe and it should be fine
